We had Anna for our server, she was very good at her job.The food was good (fish and chips, steak sandwich) the milk shakes outstanding and served in the old style silver cups! We had a great experience at the restaurant and sat outside.
What an absolutely horrible experience. My "entree" (two very small tacos with no sides or anything) was completely devoid of seasoning. The floor is throughout the entire restaurant were sticky, the bathroom was an absolute nightmare. The seat was broken there was no soap, no toilet paper, and the door was broken and could not lock. I have literally never had a dining experience even close to this bad before.
very disappointing. this place is always a must when my family and i come for vacation; however this was the most horrible experience we’ve had. some of the worse food we have ever had. the margarita pizza had absolutely no flavor. the mahi mahi tacos also had no flavor. the chicken sandwich was the most disappointing. there was more bun then burger, and half of the breading was off. staff was also not helpful when our concerns were brought to their attention, and were rude. i never write reviews, but i felt inclined to for this incident. we will not be returning.
I was pleasantly surprised by how good my meal was; I was expecting so-so but it was actually delicious. The homemade soup was especially yummy. Reasonable prices and super friendly staff too!
Delicious food.....and our server Anna was amazing!!
Great food, location, and menu! Dog-friendly outside too!
This quaint diner appearing restaurant had its ups and downs. There was only street parking, which can be difficult, but expected in a beach town. The inside wasn't the cleanest but had a cute vibe to it. Food came out relatively fast. The hummus appetizer wasn't too flavorful and probably not worth the price. The fried cauliflower was definitely better, with a light crispy coating and delicious Korean sauce. For an entree, I had the ahi tuna burger. This was absolutely delicious! It came with a pineapple salsa that added just the right amount of acid and sweetness to the meaty fish. The bun didn't add much and wasn't quite toasted, but tasted fine. Their fries are absolutely delicious (all 6 in our party agreed) but were a tad too salty that none of us were able to finish them. Another two in our party got the new York strip steaks, neither of which were cooked to the correct ordered temperature and one had to be sent back. They also did not have steak sauce (not sure why you would serve steak at your establishment without steak sauce available). Two others in our party got the lobster roll. They said that it was decent with an okay amount of lobster. The roll was too small and didn't quite fill them up. There was melted butter to accompany the roll, not flavored, and coleslaw, which wasn't impressive in any way. Another got the spaghetti and meatballs. He said he's had better and he's had worse, but he thought it was good and satisfied his craving for spaghetti. The bill was fairly high, and be careful because they automatically put a tip on the bill. Overall, I'd recommend skipping Chatterbox. It wasn't memorable enough or tasty enough to make it worth going back to for the price. Maybe if you have a picky family, this may be a good place to go, but I wasn't impressed overall.
Great breakfast spot in downtown Ocean City. Get there early, it fills up quick! The restaurant itself is beautiful, a throwback to the 30’s when it opened. Friendly staff, and a nice ambiance. Highly recommended
We’re fairly new to Ocean City and have been trying a lot of restaurants to find a place to be our regular goto. We found it last night. Food and service were both excellent! AND - they make their own ice cream. I’m glad we found The Chatterbox - highly recommended.
The seating was comfortable, but waitress was way-overextended. I get that places are short handed, but the lobster roll was disappointing. They charged way too much for what they provided. Wanted ice cream but the sign was unreadable from where we were sitting. There was no menu and when we asked the waitress what kind of ice cream they had, she seemed especially stressed, because she was running around so much. It's not worth the money, folx. Eat elsewhere.
