Custard was ok. Kid behind the counter made a couple mistakes but didn’t let it phase him. Professional and courteous. Coffee/Vanilla was lacking coffee flavor with the Vanilla overpowering it. A bit on the pricey side as well.
The best frozen custard I’ve ever had. The peanut butter and chocolate twist looks and tastes delicious. At the boardwalk price of $6/small after tax it’s still an iconic summer experience. There are a few Kohr Brothers along the boardwalk. Make sure you listen for pops as the staff dispense the ice cream and maybe consider one of the other locations if you care about the twist visual. It seemed like there were issues on different machines at different locations.
I’m disappointed. They charged my card more than what they said the total was.I grew up eating Kohr’s ice cream on the Seaside Heights boardwalk. I even went to school with the owning family’s daughter in Toms River. My fiancé and I took a trip down to Ocean City on Thursday afternoon/evening and stopped for ice cream. The person who rang me up said the total was either $11.50 or $11.51, I can’t remember which, but I remember thinking “wow, that’s not bad for boardwalk ice cream”, since everything on the boardwalk is a bit overpriced. I didn’t get a receipt because I didn’t think I’d need one. I checked my bank account statement this morning, and my card was charged for $13. I can bet my life that that was not the total stated during my transaction. I’m not upset that I’m missing $1.50, but it is the principle of the matter. I used to be a server for many years, even in busy beach towns, so I almost ALWAYS tip when there is an option to. There was no option for me to do this, yet my card was charged more. I’m pretty sure that’s illegal, but I’m not a lawyer or police officer so I don’t know the laws THAT well. I hope that the owner sees this review and talks to the employees, because it is not right to charge people more that what you say you will, without their consent. I’m sad to say it but I will probably be skipping out on Kohr’s when I visit the boardwalk.
STAFF SHORT CHANGING CUSTOMERSI DON'T CARE if it is $.02 or $.99 change do back to me when I purchase something w cash. I DO GET MAD when staff think it's ok to keep the change. Ahhh that is theft. The female staff also told me my order was $2.84. I asked her several times. Each time she repeated $2.84. I handed her a $20 and she looked at me. I then asked her you mean $22.84?She smartly points to the register screen..... which btw, didn't work. So, do I go back? Hmmmm, no. I had guests with me from out of statr and decided this was thr best forum to air my disappointment.Theft is theft,Buyer be ware
Vanilla ice cream with rainbow jimmies are the best
One of the best soft serve frozen custards on the east coast. Prevalent in the Jersey shore area, mostly on boardwalks. This location, located along the boardwalk in Ocean City does not disappoint.
Not off to a good season. Women miss heard my order and I didn't complain but I did say to my husband that's not a twist. I just took my ice cream and walked away after paying and she said to her coworker something nasty about me. And I leaned back and said before you shouldnt say something rude until I'm completely gone.
We always come down to Ocean City in the off-season just so we could get the pumpkin and cinnamon Khors ice cream. There is only one stand in Ocean city that has this and have never found it anywhere else. It is to die for. It’s a must have!
Best frozen custard I’ve ever eaten. You can’t go wrong with Kohr’s. My personal favorite is chocolate peanut butter swirl.!
Amazing service!!! Quick and easy!!
