By far, the most flavorful, tender, mouth-watering, palette-moistening, satisfying lobster tail and shrimp I’ve ever had, and that is NOT an exaggeration. I only do reviews when I’ve had an extraordinary experience, and wow, what an experience.Chef and owner Andy cooked up my seafood. Recognition well deserved. Keep it up, you deserve to eat lobster this good every day of your life. If you visit here, get the Lobster Tail and Shrimp ($29). You won’t regret it.

Food flavor & quality - enjoyable if unremarkablePortions - good for dinners, a mere 5 medium shrimp on the shrimp cocktail, and kids meals w/ significantly less food on l than a McDonald's happy meal (but marketed as 12 & under)Service - we got saddled with a server who was clearly scattered with both ours and another nearby table. Drinks forgotten for about 15 minutes, even as the first apps and kids meals were brought. They blamed their kitchen but food was coming out at a reasonable pace to tables. We hardly saw our server.

A truly unique selection of food from burgers made of either Duck, Elk, or Yak to Ostrich Steak. I ordered the Elk burger which was delicious. My 7 year-old son preferred bit to his chicken fingers and my wife order the duck burger which she really enjoyed. Plus a Tuxedo Bomb which is like three layers of chocolate. Friendly staff and quiet location off the main thoroughfare.

We’ve been to OC many times but tonight was our first visit to the Island Grill - wish we’d come sooner! We had a nice outdoor table, were served by friendly and efficient staff, and the food was delicious. A nice Caesar salad same before our entrees. I had the sesame crusted Ahi tuna and my husband had the lemon garlic scallops - both were delicious. We’ll be back!

One of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant. The fish and chips with slaw were a disaster. The chips had no salt on them and looks to be air fried. The fish was not battered and seemed to be purchased from the supermarket frozen and heated in the microwave. The coleslaw lacked flavor, and the mayo seemed to be so old that it had become a soup. As with my chips, everyone's seemed to suffer from the same problems. One of our party members ordered the surf and turf, steak medium rare. After careful inspection I found it to be nearly raw. The steak was seasoned with a little pepper and barely any salt. It lacked flavor and originality for the price. Another guest had the boiled seafood in wine. It seemed to arrive in a puddle of water. It had no seasoning at all besides a little paprika thrown on top after cooking for good measure. The soups were quite good, however. Though I do suspect from the lack of quality everywhere else that these were probably pre purchased at the supermarket and frozen until use. The coconut shrimp appetizer was tasty, but overpriced. With four for 16 dollars, I could just go to red lobster and get unlimited shrimp for similar quality and cheaper price. In addition, the sweet and sour sauce had too much lemon in it. The staff were fine and nice, and I'm sure the cook is a good, but the quality of ingredients they use, the methods of cooking they use, and the care they put into the work fails in all aspects of eating out. Do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars. Avoid this place at all costs.

At the end of our vacation week we stopped at the Island Grill for breakfast and it was delicious! We’re very happy that it’s open for breakfast again. We had tacos and grits, Benedicts, pancakes, tater tot tower. We were all delighted with the food and our server was very attentive. We always make a point to stop here every year for dinner and we haven’t ever been disappointed in 7ish years.

A tucked away gem, down beach. It was too nice not to enjoy OC, but the storms came in, chased everyone inside, then the sun came out.To our advantage, we strolled up on The Island Grill Seafood & Steakhouse on this corner.Parking - Either get there early or try not to drive cause parking is limited. There is a church lot, God will forgive you ?. We were able to secure a spot right in front of the restaurant.Being located down beach, it’s not as crowded (earlier in the day). We were able to sit outside (indoor/outdoor dining) and enjoy the sites.**The earlier you get there the better. We arrived at 4pm and were the first guests seated outside. By 5:30pm, it was packed. Staff advised anything after 6pm, during peak season, you can expect an 1.5 hour wait.***PLEASE NOTE….Ocean City is a DRY town. Restaurants do not serve alcohol and many are not BYOB.The menu had something for everyone. I thought I overheard a waiter say they were open for breakfast. Kids enjoyed salads, we enjoyed seafood with appetizers. Service was fast and professional.I will definitely be returning as there are other things on the menu that caught my eye. Overall, a great place tucked away with great food and conversation with locals and other vacationers. They do offer takeout, as that must be a big thing, as a lot of people picked up food and carried it back to their beach homes.Sorry as my pictures were deleted. But will add pics when I go back of the restaurant and menus.

Our server was phenomenal and the food was fresh caught that day. We couldn't have asked for better unless we caught it ourselves. I look forward to going back.

Every year that we come to ocnj we make sure to eat here! We love the atmosphere. The food is mostly worth the wait, something about it this year wasnt as spectacular as previous times. I love that they serve bread, and most meals come with a salad, so you're not completely starving by the time your main comes!I tried the clam chowder this year and that alone would make an awesome dinner. The broiled lobster and shrimp dinner was just ok this time, the lobster was the best part thankfully! There was a special of salmon alfredo pasta and that was the winner out of everyones meals. Absolutely fantastic, they should make it permanent. The fried shrimp, fish, scallop platter was average, and seemed pricey for what it was, but that's just how prices are right now. We'll be back again next year:)

We ate here late Sept. Food was great. The soup sampler was good. I got the maple pecan salmon, bil got flounder Reubens, sister got seafood sampler. All 3 were really good. Highly recommend.
