Took friends to lunch on Friday. Ordered tuna, the Hula special and Hula burger. I chose Hula Grill to treat friends we haven’t seen in awhile. I was extremely embarrassed for highly recommending Hula Grill. I am not sure what happened but the quality was barely average at best. The Hula Burger was a frozen thin patty, the tuna and shrimp were not fresh at all, and the rice had a funny taste. The two plates were 22 plus dollars each with barely any food on them.I wouldn’t mind the price if the food was fresh. The tuna tasted like frozen tuna you get in a box. This was not the same Hula Grill I remember.
Excellent food. Husband loved his firecracker shrimp and my Hawaiian chicken dish was great. Huge servings that I couldn't even finish. Definitely going back
We love the food here. Fresh vegetables, interesting sides and great seafood and chicken meals.
my family has been eating here for YEARS and the quality has never dipped. the staff are friendly and the food is amazing. outdoor seating is a little cramped, but when it’s safe to eat indoors it’s more roomy. any dish with the teriyaki hula sauce is perfect, and they sell it by the bottle in case you want more. the sticky rice is amazing with any meal, and even the salad is perfectly fresh with homemade salad dressing, which is honestly the best i’ve had (also sold by the bottle). the firecracker shrimp are perfectly spicy and crunchy, the teriyaki chicken is always tender and sweet, the crabcake and fries are great. we’ve never had a bad meal here. the portions are very generous and eating takeout is just as good as served fresh. if you’re just visiting the area, you have to stop here for dinner!
Always very good. I respect their integrity. Go there
Was our 1st time here. The food was delicious and the sticky rice and teriyaki sauce was amazing. Staff was very friendly. Definitely will stop again.
Try the teriyaki salmon….so good. Waitress that helped us here has an incredibly beautiful smile too. Great experience by the beach.
I don't reccomend this place at all if you're looking to get quality food. Sure, the food tasted decent, but the cost was excessive and most of dishes probably were from the freezer. You can really tell that they were in the freezer with the calamari and shrimp. I wouldn't be disappointed as much if they didn't cost $15+, but that's not the case here. If you want to spend a bunch for sub par food, this is the place to go.
I was excited to try this place out but was so beyond disappointed. I’m a foodie and usually as long as I’m not the one cooking I’m happy with anything, but this place just wasn’t worth it at all. I ordered their famous hula chicken and hula fries. The chicken was bland and tasted like it wasn’t marinated and they just threw the sauce on top towards the end of cooking. It was served with a scoop of plain white rice that had absolutely no seasoning to it… as for the hula fries, they were okay, but very salty and mushy from the excess amount of sauce on them. There are significantly better places on the boardwalk to spend your money on.
My favorite but need to update web and phone recording. I walked to on a very humid day and found closed. Website and phone message said they were open.
