We go to Chickie and Pete’s for wings of course, but also for the Sicilian Mussels. It is our favorite. Not this time! They were so overcooked they should have been tossed in the trash. What kind of chef would send that out of a kitchen! Quality and cleanliness was sorely missing. And skip the house Chardonnay, it could barely pass as a wine. Worst ever!
Had some of the crab fries and the fries themselves (aka the seasoning) were really good but the cheese sauce that came with it could've been a lot better.
I was very disappointed in Chickie and Pete’s. We looked forward to try them for the first time and sadly we will not return. We ordered soup and and an appetizer and a main course. Before we started to eat our soup, which was lukewarm, our entree were brought out, also Luke warm. We felt like they were rushing us to eat and get out,
First time visit. Great sports bar atmosphere. Lots of televisions and big screens. Attentive waitstaff. I tried the crab fries and seafood sauté. The crab fries were well seasoned and the dipping sauce was nice. The seafood sauté comes with a choice of sauces. I asked our waitress her recommendation and she mentioned the red sauce was her favorite. I went with that and was not disappointed. The dish reminded me of a cioppino I had in New Orleans. The difference being the one in NOLA was served with linguini. The red sauce complimented the seafood well and was very hearty. My only complaints - the dish needs to be served with some French bread to enjoy all that rich sauce. Second, I had about 6 clams that were only slightly opened which means they were either undercooked or bad. Please instruct your restaurant staff to not serve potentially undercooked or poor quality shellfish. Overall great experience otherwise.
I ordered a pepperoni pizza and fries. IT tasted like a cardboard box from 1995. Never again. Trashed it.
Great Food , Friendly Service , Reasonably Priced Menu . We had the Bangin’ shrimp burger , buffalo wings and shrimp tacos ! We came here as a 3rd option for dinner on our trip to AC . Definitely glad we chose this place ! The watermelon basil mojito was on point ! Will definitely be returning !
Let me just tell you...WE LOVE THIS PLACE (My son Julius and I) ....obviously who does not love Chickie's and Pete's food...lol...but the customer service is way over and beyond! Bill the manager is fantastic...along with his whole staff...We use the doordash option bc we live in OC and don't want to fight the crowds and parking-especially in the summer. Doordash is a great option to get this fabulous food-quick, hot and fresh! We always order the crab fries, chickie's cutlet original with honey mustard and the fried shrimp. The food is always fresh, crispy, hot and fast-Delicious! Sometimes ordering a couple times a week bc it is just so darn good-So THANK YOU Bill and staff for your awesomeness!
Nice, fun atmosphere. Food was tasty. Drinks were good. Excellent service. Good location on the boardwalk and in Tropicana .
I went with my son's after they said they'd a good experience. I had crab cake sandwich which was excellent. My son had wings and crabby fries which we all shared and had leftovers. My other son had a burger. All was good. Service a little slow hence 4 star review.
Stopped in for a snack between meals. Shanell was our server and was pleasant but when our nachos came out cold she couldn’t be found. We had another waitress get her. When we told her the cheese was cold on the nachos she asked us to explain. Explain what? The cheese was cold and coagulated. The nachos obviously sat in the back and weren’t brought out right away. We wanted a fresh batch made. Our request was done and the 2nd batch of nachos came out warm. The restaurant was not busy.
