I visited here for the first time on our way to a movie and I am in love with the food here.Butter chicken and butter naan was simply super, very tasty and fresh.We had southern spice special chicken biryani and Ulavacharu mutton biryani.I even liked the southern spice special chicken biryani, the chicken is crispy and biryani is well done and medium spicy. Raitha and salan worked together beautifully to the biryani. ?Ulavacharu mutton biryani was not my choice and my friends enjoyed that.By the end of the meal we were definitely planning our next visit for Thursday special unlimited dosa buffet?
Went to pick up order tonight scheduled for 6:30. Was not ready. Supposedly they had some big catering orders that backed them up. No apologies. Had to wait 30 minutes. Food was terrible and underwhelming and of course they messed up the order. The so called “tandoori chicken” was not even tandoori chicken. Most concerning was the chicken was raw. Definitely not ordering from this place again.
They are misers in terms of portions, we ordered a idli and dosa and the Sambar portions is pathetic, I small sambar for both orders , more so when I called instead of listening the guy shut the phone down, never again and not recommended for share manners !!Add: sambar was asked if it spicy, it was said it’s not, right now we are making food for kids instead of enjoying it. MAY YOU CLOSE SOON !!!
Started ordering more from Southern Spice after we moved to the neighborhood-doing both delivery and pick up.Snacks are the best tasted in and around the place-regular snacks being Chicken 65, Punugulu, Peanut masala (am a teetotaler but this is the best snack for a drinker), Mirchi Bajji (can talk on and on on this-this is not overly spicy, but with onions stuffed, makes it the best overpassing even what we get back in the Telugu states).Apart from the regular dum biryanis, we have the traditional fry piece biryani and goat roast biryani, which is my personal favorite. My wife loved the weekend jackfruit pulao too.This place also has a dine-in which we visited with office colleagues, and makes the food more attractive when eaten right off the stove..
Disappointed by quality of the food and service.I have ordered few times and every time I have mentioned spice levels but looks like instructions do not get to chef and making full spicy every time. Last time spoke to management person "RamBabu" and told him very clearly that my review will reflect accordingly.I have called them later as well but there is no proper response
Very bad service. I ordered tandoori chicken and order was messed up saying its very busy today, I called the owner and no solution even after hearing the hassle. Don’t order or visit this restaurant if you want to save your Friday
I will stop going to this place. No good. Bad experience with spice level and taste of the chicken dishes I ordered last couple of times. Initially, this place was ok. I am not sure what happened lately.
Their chicken dishes are usually good. My fav are special chicken biryani and karivepaku chicken. Veg dishes are Ok but I wouldn’t recommend Goat dishes. Tried multiple times and disappointed every time.
Amazing food. One of the best indian restaurant.
