This place is one of my family's go to for a family meal. Unlike similar businesses, it won't rip a hole in the pocket. Portions are great, good variety of sides and options.
2 stars because items on the menu are never/rarely available. Such as the congri rice that apparently is only on the weekends (menu does not state this)….and arroz morro which they didn’t have a reason for not having…..again…..was here the other day….they also didn’t have it. So just plain white rice….not even an option for beans….
I was here for the first time in several months. In the past this place was GREAT. You would come in and you see them grilling the chicken fresh, etc. I went today and ordered a family pack with two orders of chicken skewers. i know things are slightly more expensive, but wow. An entire roast chicken plus two sides is now $35.99. The chicken skewer is now 10.99 up from 7.99- and if the food tasted the same, might all be worth it, but NOPE. Spent $50 - what a disappointment. I asked if ownership was new I was told no. Also they charge a $1 Take out Fee, this again is also new. When I was there a few months ago, it was the first time I had seen this on my bill. So if you sit in to eat your food I presume it is FREE but if you want to take your food to go there is an additional fee. There are no signs posted outside or inside telling customers this. You see it when they ring up your bill. When I took a bite out of the chicken skewer it was COLD. I went back inside and told them it was cold- which I didn't understand because before it was fresh and they would put it on the grill on the spot. I was told that they are now refrigerated. They put the skewers back on the grill and warmed it up some more. It was bland and tasteless. We came home- the smokey flavor the chicken had before GONE. So disappointed i paid $50 for sub par meal. This place used to be amazing. Will not be spending money there again.
I haven’t had good food from pollo supremo in a very long time since I was a teenager. My office ordered food from the North Bergen location and it was delicious!!! The delivery was done in a timely manner the food was hot and the Manger Edwin was super nice and hospitable. Pollo Supermo is back on my list of favorite restaurants to order from! Thank you Edwin for being so awesome!!!!!!
Mr Edwin, I’m truly grateful for such yummy food delivery from “Pollo Supremo”. Lunch has been the most delicious one. Fried yuca, Moro rice, chicken grilled and the sweet plantain, omg! It was so delicious.
Healthy choices in my area by planet fitness in North Bergen are tough to find but I definitely found a Gem. Went to Pollo supremo in North Bergen and was so Glad the manager Edwin was there he guided me through marking the best choices for my diet! Food was awesome and I will be back with my gym gal pals… awesome food great customer service and Edwin was knowledgeable and super nice!!!
Went in to get lunch during my limited lunch break and the Manager Edwin S. was super helpful when it came to my menu selections! I was able to order my lunch to go, and have enough time to eat it and get back to work on time!! Will definitely recommend this place to my fellow coworkers!! Friendly, fast and efficient service!! Food here is awesome! I have a large family and picky eaters. My whole family loved the food, it was full of flavor ! We had the churrasco, ribs and chicken with veggie rice and the congri maduros. We also had the tres leche, flan and flan cocho. All I have to say is WOW POLLO SUPREMO STEPPED THEIR GAME UP!!!! Not only was the food incredibly good but the New manager Edwin was very hospitable and super friendly here made us feel completely welcome. My definitely telling my friends and family to go to the Pollo Supremo in North Bergen.
I ordered food for me and my son the food was horrible. We couldn't eat it I throw it in the garbage over cooked chicken rubbery and the Moro was flavor less. Never going there again.
Not a bad place to get some food . Food was well put together . Tasty tacos & quesadillas. Guacamole was fresh .
