I've been ordering dinner plates and food from TWS for years now and it really is the measuring stick when it comes to taste, consistency and overall meal quality and portion size in Ricosoul in the area. Come hungry! You will definitely be able to eat 2-3 times off your meal plate which makes the prices of the food WORTH IT! I recently had Mo and TWS cater an event for 70 of my close family and friends and everybody not only loved the food, but remarked that they wanted TWS contact info. Food was so tasty and a hit! Pleasure doing business! Mo, is a true professional even when she experiences personal hardships. She will get the job done. Im a huge fan!
First time ordering from here and I was so blown away I ordered a second time before I left. Very pleased with this establishment and I fully recommend you all to go out and get so good, No Great, home cooked meals from a classy place filled with love.
I love this place the food is delicious. I order from here often, and I haven't had a bad meal yet. I would suggest ordering early, especially if you're planning on getting the oxtails; they sell out quickly. And don't forget desertion won't be disappointed.
Over time pre and post pandemic, this restaurant has become a hit and miss. However, it has been good until this past week where I suffered SEVERE case of food poisoning. I ordered the Crab Cakes with Mac and Cheese, and Kale. I knew that the Crab Cakes were questionable, along with everything being cooked with old grease.As the food is a hit and miss, that can apply to the staff as well. When the young adults are working, they project their negative disposition. From the young man who appeared to be upset he had to work on Sunday, to the rude young lady who would not allow me to speak to a manager when I requested one (to give feedback about the crab cakes). Then she proceeded to want to go back and forth as to why I couldn't speak with the manager. That was icing on the cake for me, and unfortunately I will not be giving my business moving further.
I was very unhappy with my food this morning..I also had the phone hung up on me ..This Place will Never Ever have to worry about me or my Family crossing into their door again...YOU DONT HANG UP ON YOUR CUSTOMERS AND THEN CALL BACK TO TRY MAKE AMENDS...if sugar is put on the pancakes and I tell you I'm a diabetic my sugar will spike and your adamant about you putting sugar on pan cakes fir 7 years and tell me it on the menu ...well I check the menu it's not there ..but Say No More. ..I will find another spot who will appreciate me as a customer...My money spend in other stores just as good as it did in yours. ..
First off let me say this was a birthday Treat from me to me I ordered lemon peepper wings/Buffalo wings with mixed greens with cabbage macaroni and cheese with sweet potatoe and corn bread.. The food was solo delicious like omg I ate like a pig lol and shared it with 2 other people. The rings were to die for and the cabbage omg . Her hospitality was above and beyond and she came out and introduced herself to me as the chef and welcomed into her restaurant as though I was family... She cooks from the heart and when you taste her cooking you can tell. I definitely will be returning but Chef Monique if you happen to read this review thank you it was a pleasure meeting you and a honor to eat from your establishment ?
I usually get dinner but today I decided to get breakfast and that was a huge mistake. My orders of chicken tenders and a waffle was not worth $15 and the nasty creamy grits had sugar in them. Never again
I don't know if the ingredients changed but months ago I had the bbq chicken wings and they were fantastic but this time they were salty and even started to upset my stomach. Maybe it's a time thing and the chicken was rushed but hopefully I would have the fantastic chicken again I had months ago
Guys I am telling you my husband & I are real food critics. I must say The Weekend Spot Restaurant have surpassed our expectations to say the least. We tried 2 dinners from the restaurant for the first time on Friday Jan 14, 2022 and we were back on Sunday ordering 4 more dinners. The only thing on Friday was the draining of Fried foods, but I told them about it and they complied. The fried shrimp were delicious along with the sweet potatoes with pineapple/raisins, garlic mash, sautéed spinach and collars were on point. They know how to feed you as well. All I ask for is consistency. There a wait for the food, but if you call in your order ahead of time it will take about 45-50 minutes. I don't care a lot about the wait as long as the food is cooked to perfection. We will be back.
I had the honey barbecue wings. It was the delicious wish I had order more, food was fresh and tasty. Potato salad was good too
