Staff was friendly and the place was kinda decent. I enjoyed the food there. As for the Galão, it could be less bitter at least for me.it was. But that didn't stopped for coming back a day after and get some Queijadas de Natas. ?

This bakery definitely knows what they’re doing. Gave it a fair shake by ordering a large fruit tart, chocolate eclairs, 24 pastel de nata (they looked good lmao), two different types of bread. I would order them all again and try every other pastry too. Such tasty desserts and super fresh.

The egg tarts here are shockingly good. Probably would be able to compete (or even beat out) w/ comparable bakeries in sao paulo, where i recently visited. A really precious eatery that Newark is lucky to have.

Every time I’m in Newark stop here and I bring home a big box of pastel de nata. They are soft and creamy with a flaky crust. Not too sweet and they are always fresh and delicious. This place also has a full menu of sandwiches and pastries.

Lovely cute place, staff is very lovely and works hard to help you understand even if you only know English and can't read the signs haha.

While not as good as the ones in Belem Lisbon, their egg tarts were pretty darn good! Very pleasant experience. I just with the service was abit faster.

A wonderful Portuguese bakery authentic in it's flavor. Great service by the staff. I have been going there since my childhood.

Best pAstel De Natel around this is the pace and even has amazing outside dining paces to eat as you walk around highly recommended. I drive 2 hours just to take some back to where I live and share the pastel.

They are extremely slow for no reason, the lines are literally out the door… but no sense of urgency, Just chatting with each other. Counted 4 people behind the counter and one person being helped.

I usually don't go to his bakery but they are well known in the area, but was not impressed by the pastry selection that I wanted. The triangles with 'ovos moles' elsewhere are moist and sweet but these were dry and not that great and of course I got 4. The pastéis de nata were also bland. I got a dozen to give to colleagues but couldn't give them out since they are not a good representation of the Portuguese icon pastry. Wish they and other local bakeries had the great selection that Riviera used to make. Seabras is the closest but the most expensive and often low on quantity on Sunday afternoons.
