I've been smelling this food for about two weeks now and I finally decided to try it. The worse mistake I made I also added a picture of the food before I touched it. I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN.
Rice, collard greens and cabbage were flavorful and filling. I will be going back!
Always has soup! And patties. Lots of Caribbean spots seem to always run out.
I ordered the chicken curry rice with peas cabbage and plantains. The food was very good and fresh but we didn't get the plantains. We wanted too order extra after meal "beef patties -4" but not in stock. The hospitality from the front counter was plain and not informative when ask what's good to order. But I will come back because of the food was good I enjoyed it.
The customer service is regularly speedy, great ambience, helpful employees. I will come back again when I arrive in town.

I went to Star’s pressure pot restaurant to n Newark , nj it’s authentic Jamaican cuisine. The hospitality was great , and the prices fair. I ordered two chicken soups, and a large oxtail. They did not get skimpy on the portions which I loved. The food was really good ,and flavorful. The inside of the restaurant is very colorful with lime green walls, bob Marley portraits , and other decor. Giving it a very exciting, and inviting atmosphere. The guy at the counter was super patient and pleasant. I give it five stars for the overall experience, and for the taste and authenticity of the food. If anyone is in Newark and enjoys food that isn’t bland visit this gem.

Worst service ever it taste like the food was sitting out all day more of the story I got sick from it.Future references I would not recommend getting there food.Or if you do eat from there make sure food is fresh
Great and yummy food, I liked the ambience the spot has, and the staff members were nice. I will surely visit here next time.
