My kids and I really love this place. The rib & chicken BBQ combo is so delicious. The workers are super friendly and helpful.
I asked for my steak to be medium came out well done. The meat tasted old. The rice was flavorless and so were the vegetables. I tried to eat as much as I could purely just because I payed for it, but I couldn't even do that. Picture provided to prove I actually didnt finish it and is in the garbage now. This is a big problem for a restaurant to have take this as constructive criticism and fix it.
I really wish I could give this place NO STARS .. this is literally the worse dining experience I’ve ever had … My mom and I came in for lunch .. the waitress took our order (with no pen and paper) walked away and came back THREE time to verify our order .. my mom ordered BEEF ribs.. when our food finally arrives the waitress sat a plate of PORK RIBS in front of my mom … we DO NOT EAT ANY KINF OF PORK…at this point I also have gotten my food but I was missing sides .. the manager wasn’t compassionate or understanding about his waitress faults … I will never eat here again
Everything was prepared fresh the ribs were delicious the chicken was nice and flavorful however the rice was just ok… prices were decent as well
Omg, these eats gave me eating at your family table and your family can throwdown. We got sausage, chicken, and beef ribs. All of it was delicious but I'll be dreaming of those ribs tonight.
The food is great but 1 day I get charged for using my card. Other times I don’t . If I pay $30 for a meal, I shouldn’t be charged a fee for using my debit card .
I went here for the 1st time and loved the food. I ordered the simple 1/2 chicken and ribs combo with rice and beans. The beans were exceptionally tasty. The rice was perfect, it was not sticky nor clumpy. The chicken. And ribs were seasoned to perfection. The meal was delicious!I will return.
I order from here and go here in person all the time. The food is great. Some of the reviews are complaining about the service, I've never had that experience at all. I've always had very good service. I don't speak Spanish or Portuguese and they've always been able to accommodate me, both ordering over then phone and eating at the resteraunt. English isn't the majority language in the Ironbound, if you can't deal with that you shouldn't come here. The staff at South st. Bbq have always been friendly and helpful to me.
They said they served breakfast but was limited on the breakfast menu
Food is good but they don’t have anyone who speaks English. And when you do ask for someone who speaks English they would laugh in your face. A girl name Cynthia is the one who answer the phone who is completely rude and disrespectful for laughing at someone who doesn’t speak their language.
