I had this place on my list for a minute, but so glad I finally went. If you are looking for a chill spot to grab delicious bites and drinks. The vibe is cafe, book store (yes you can buy the books), artist loft with plants, literally all my favorite things. The food was great and our iced chai lattes were delicious and the dessert were great too. I will definitely be going back on a regular, because there are several things on the menu I want to try.

I wanted Sihana to be me and my fiancé’s new go to spot. I’ve gone to Sihana a few times and have always had a great experience but today definitely ruined it for me. The server and the food are usually great but the owner is rude and passive aggressive. The kitchen made a mistake with my order which is completely fine, mistakes happen but when I asked for it to be remade the owner was rude about it and told me I was wrong when I’ve ordered this meal three times before. When the order came out it was handed to me in a to go bag which made me feel like I was getting kicked out or rushed out, even the server was questioning the owner of why my food was given to me in a to-go bag. Lastly doesn’t help I found a giant hair in my meal when I took it home. I wish this could’ve been handled better but unfortunately my experience at Sihana was ruined. It really makes me hesitant to take my business there again.

A very pretty cafe in the neighborhood. Menu is relatively small, but good enough brunch options. They also sell bakery items like brownie and cupcakes. Lots of good hot drinks available. The brunch dishes we tried were made excellent. Fresh eggs, salads and well made pancakes. They are pet friendly restaurant.

Like the moon indeed! This coffee shop stands out with friendly staff and exquisite coffee. Highly recommend!I love the exposed brick! Modern, but cozy interior.

Came to this café for the first time for lunch & enjoyed everything about it from the ambiance to the staff and the food (which was very fresh and tasty). I had the salmon hot bowl, mint tea & fruit covered cheesecake dessert. Their dessert was also delicious. I love art so the decor was a sight for sore eyes. Vinyls, books, wall art and all the other details made it a very comfortable space to enjoy my meal in. I would definitely refer this nice place…

Wonderful coffee shop with warm welcomes from the workers and managent. Perfect atmosphere and a good amount of seating inside.Latte: The latte was good, strong aroma and has a good balance of them coffee beans and milk, when done. The service was great and the young man did a great job tending to us. Will come back again to get some actual food sometime!

My sister and I happened in here while staying nearby. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Happy to answer questions and make recommendations. Everything sounded good! We ordered a chiorizo omlette and chocolate chip pancakes. Both were delicious. Service was attentive and food came out pretty quickly. Prices were reasonable and fair.

I came into Sihana Cafe for the first time Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022 for a cup of tea after my workout. After I sat down, it took over 35 minutes for a server to come greet me with a menu. Meanwhile, in that time, I couldn’t help but notice that every table around me was being served, but I was simply being ignored. I also couldn’t help but notice that everyone sitting at the tables around me were white people, and I am not a white person. When I was finally attended to, I asked the server if this place was racist. It came out of my mouth so naturally, and I honestly didn’t think twice about asking such a question. It was a completely valid question in my eyes. After I received my tea I was approached by a very hostile man who I quickly identified as the owner. The owner asked me if I had made a question on race, and I replied, yes, I couldn’t help but notice that everyone around me is being attended to and they’re white, while I’m not white and sitting here for over 35 minutes waiting for service. The owner then, now speaking very loudly and catching the attention of the entire cafe, very abruptly asked me to leave the premises. I took out my camera and recorded the owner asking me to leave and I asked him on camera - why are you asking me to leave your establishment? His answer was “Because we don’t like you here”. I left the establishment and while I was waiting for my Uber, the owner proceeded to follow me outside with another gentleman and he pointed at me and yelled at me that I’m banned from this cafe and the other gentleman should take a good look at my face to remember me. You can’t ban me from an establishment that I never intend on returning to. This owners actions I think confirms my suspicions of the establishment being racist and refusing service to people of color. This is an absolute shame, as this location is on Ferry Street in Newark, NJ, where almost everyone is a minority. This cafe does not align with Newark, NJ values and the mission of the city. DO NOT PATRONIZE.

This is my FAVORITE coffee shop in Newark for many reasons! The service is always great, the coffee & food is delicious and it’s aesthetically beautiful. Their breakfast menu is my personal favorite! (pancakes & lattes pictured) Don’t hesitate to visit! Walking distance to Penn Station & my home church (CCPNEWARK) makes it even better.

A café that feels like home. Staff are so friendly and so warming to their guest! The coffee is amazing and the food 10/10! My friends and I love it so much we go faithfully every week’ ❤️ Def recommend visiting!
