A decent and only Indian place to grab a quick bite in the area. The have both kati rolls and platter options. For kati rolls, the paratha is thin and tasty, chicken tikka was my favorite protein, but the remaining ingredients they serve are not very Indian. I was surprised to see they offered onions, beets, and cucumber salad. I would have liked them to be prepared with some Indian spice. I also tried the minced lamb, didn’t like it much, as it was pleasing to my taste buds, probably having it in cubes would have worked better than grounded. The restaurant in general is clean, like most restaurants in Newark, their fountain soda machine is also broken. They also have an establishment for a chicken wings restaurant in the same spot, which is very strange. If I am graving for Indian food, probably I’ll stop by Sigri again, not it’s not going to be in my regular go to spots.
Worst food I ever ate. The panner was so dry, Rice was so hard and tomato butter gravy is so sour. I cook 100% better than that.
Definitely recommended!Good quality, tasty and healthy.Love that you can customize your plate which makes it even better!
Use to love it , everything was good , until they served me cold contaminated food and me and my friends developed diarrhea we had steak and rice bowl .
Had the Kathi Roll. It great for the price with a good amount of chicken. Will be back
First time here and enjoyed my meal so much. It was also my first time having Indian food and it was beyond my expectations. Will definitely come again
Claimed to be halal but had no proof … I feel like they just didn’t want to lose business. Please don’t lie about these types of things.
Super tasty will be back. ?
One of THE BEAT indian food places in Nj. Tried it for the first time yesterday and you can taste all flavors in every single bite!! Absolutely love it and recommend to anyone who loves indian food.
The paneer Kati roll and chicken Kati roll were good, paneer very soft and fresh, and the roll nice thin. The only thing I felt is it could be more flavorful with more spices. Maybe will ask for a spicy version next time. The mint chutney was amazing, tangy and tasty. We also got the paneer platter with butter gravy. The paneer again great quality and naan that came with it was soft. The butter gravy was very rich but on sweeter side, again will try spicy next time. The sigri rice we got was okay, personally didn't like the flavor of it and couldn't tell what the flavor was and they messed up.the side salad, we asked for cucumber-raddish but got cabbage.
