See post on parking, once you arrive it's an authentic Portuguese restaurant, the ambiance is being at home with family. The decor is very simple don't expect anything fancy. Service is excellent, lots of food, the serving is more than what you can handle, and it's all worth it. They serve, sangria, beer. Desserts are yummy, i love the chocolate mousse.Best time to eat around noon time, and it's always busy. Lots of portuguese people frequent it, locals, which makes it feel authentic. Dinner time, and especially weekends is extremely busy don't be surprised if you're on a waiting list standing room only, be patient it is worth it!!Great food, and experience overall. Hopefully I'll be able to add pictures later.

Great Portuguese seafood - grilled octopus was crispy and flavorful without being rubbery which is a challenge. The meat croquette was rich and the codfish were a bit starchy but tasty. The fried calamari had some pickles on the plate which were a nice contrast to the crunchy rings. Finally the “dry stew” made with mixed seafood and bread pieces was very savory and served as a lunch the next day. Free parking in a crowded neighborhood makes this an easy recommendation.

Saw this place when I was searching for a restaurant in the “Little Portugal” Newark area. There were a lot of great restaurants but I found a YouTube review for this restaurant and it looked good. There was a sign that their card machine didn’t work so they only accept cash. They do have an ATM machine right by the door when you enter. When you first walk in it’s not obvious where to go because there was no host or sign. So we went to the bar and they said where do you want to sit bar or table. It was kind of confusing because it was our first time and they seemed to not care. We said table and they said go to the back, when we did they sat us back in the front . Once we got seated our waiter was kind. We ordered a Seafood meal that they said was big and usually serves 4 people. We were a party of two and were hungry and finished it all at the restaurant. The restaurant is cute and the Seafood was very good! The stuffed clams were my favorite. When the check came we put in a tip but the waiter pointed out they already add the tip in to the bill. So that was nice of him to tell me or I would have doubled it! We walked around the town after and their are tons of bakeries if you want a sweet treat after. Overall great experience and I would have given a 5 if they had a better greeting or even a sign to help me know where to go when I walk in. When your traveling from out of state it’s helpful.

The cataplana (lobster, calamari, clams, shrimp, abalone, mussels in red sauce) was fantastic. The appetizer of clams in garlic sauce had too-large clams which was not that great but had good flavor. Red sangria went down smooth. Our waiter, Oleksander, was attentive and pleasant, and even went out of his way to look after our dog by giving her plenty of water (we sat outside).ALERT -- they are not opened till noon (despite what is written on their website and listed by Google maps). And they take credit cards.

Good portuguese restaurant with a variety of fresh sea food platters. The quality of the platters went slightly down after covid. Nonetheless, it is still one of the best places to enjoy a fresh large meal. The waiters are very friendly and will make your experience unique. Careful and attentive to all details, the waiters will have nothing miss from your table. The salmon steak and the halibut fish are one of a kind at this place. Try at least one of them, or both if you are very hungry. The portions are large.

Service was excellent and the food was amazing. Be aware that each plate serves 2 people.

Probably the best sardines and salmon I have eaten anywhere. Cash only and gratuities are not included on a handwritten bill. Dining room is crowded and noisy. Prices are higher than many Portuguese restaurants-in area. Probably returning for other items now that I’m aware Might sit at bar area where food is also served.

Clams with garlic were delicious. The cod special with chick peas was tasty but oily. Octopus salad was perfectly cooked (not rubbery) but the seasoning was bland. Waiters are old school pros and the kitchen staff works really hard. The 20% service charge is well deserved.

I would travel across the country solely for this restaurant. The seafood is so fresh, the portions are generous, and the food is to die for. Even their dessert! I highly recommend the coconut torte. The service here is wonderful. Everyone who works here is so genuinely nice and helpful. I can't wait to go back here to work my way through their menu. I consider the pricing very fair for the quality and portions. I wouldn't want to pay cheap prices on seafood. Thank you Seabras for the wonderful experience!

The food is good, fresh and healthy. Portions are generous. Restaurant with 3 ambients. They accept cash only, the credit card machine always broken says the ad. Although this restaurant belongs to the Seabras group of supermarkets. Prices are above normal. Waiters are polite and friendly. Poor decorations.
