I tried Red Crab Juicy for the first time on a Saturday about 630pm. I did not know what to expect as I was craving seafood. I was greeted and seated right away. The server was friendly and attentive. The music is great just a bit too loud for me. Hard to have a conversation with your dinner guest and the waitress because it is hard to hear. I didn't realize there was no alcohol. It is BYOB. Next time I know better.The service is quick. The seafood is tasty and very fresh. I would just say the hottest spice needs a bit more heat and seasoning. I had the special Saturday bag and oysters as well as cajun wings. The horseradish was not that great though.Overall it's a great fun, music enjoyable Saturday. I would absolutely go back again.
On Saturday May 28th I had a reservation for 15 people because it was my daughter sweet sixteenth birthday dinner. The atmosphere was great, the music was a little too LOUD especially for some young children in my party and we the adults and young people we couldn’t hear each other speaking and my suggestion is to have the music at a moderate tone so we can hear each other at the table and also to make sure the waitress/waiter get the food order correct . The food was a little too salty but everything was ok
I love this place I go every week. I guess because of the over growing crowds every weekend they switching up. Last night I was literally rushed out of the restaurant after I paid my tab. They used to have a 3 hour timing for your table and now it’s 2 hours which is understandable bc of the crowds. Last night after a hour and 20 minutes I paid my tab and the owner seen that and literally came over and said “are you guys leaving or what?” I come every week I tip well. I gotta admit..my feelings were really hurt. I guess my business isn’t appreciated anymore since everybody comes there now
Food is ok… could definitely be better. Bright side the DJ rocks! Music was definitely on point. BYOB was a plus
The food was superb, the ambiance, seating and music (dj was lit) was great. I went on a Friday evening I had an amazing time. Felt welcomed, comfortable and safe...first time I've enjoyed like that in the iron bound section of Newark, my hometown btw. There's something about that seafood, nice portions, just delicious. Staff was very attentive. I will definitely visit RED CRAB again soon and I recommend all seafood lovers...GIT THERE!
Birthday experience was amazing
1st time there, I really enjoyed myself with my family and we are very picky eaters. Omg the butter sauce mild, I wish they sold that in a nice jar and at a good price. At the end of the day the the food was delicious. The staff is amazing. My new seafood spot!!!!!☺️
The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The place seem to be very busy. The crab was not fresh, the music was so loud, I can't even hear my conversation between my friend and I. The lady's restroom was so thirty, fingerprints everywhere. With the virus is still going on, I don't think that I can return there soon.
Very lively place to eat. Good prices for the food and very clean place. Wait staff are very polite. And live dj was a plus.
The service was cool. The food was good, but the loud music as if we were in a club was horrible. My wife ad I were recommended to come here. However at 6pm on a Friday the music started, and it was so loud you had to scream right across the table to talk. I asked them to lower the music just a bit. They did then eventually they turned it back up. Then we decided to leave because of the loud music. The management should realize everyone didn't come to hear loud music when your trying to have dinner.
