The rice ( jollof and fried) and the egusi soup is delicious. However my only complaint is the meat. Every time we order it is always a gamble as to whether or not the goat meat or the chicken will be cooked tender enough to be eaten. Please cook to meat a little longer, the skin of the goat meat is often hard and the chicken is sometimes dry. I don’t want the meat to be fighting me when I am trying to enjoy my meal. Thank you.

my favorite african food to eat HANDS down. the owner is an awesome, FRIENDLY woman. When you first come in , it doesnt give off to friendly, but once you walk to the back to order or get your food, its a different vibe. The food is AMAZING ! I always get Efo riro w/ fufu . which is spinach & pounded yam . It comes with 3 different meats however , i only eat fish & its AMAZING ! I just love this spot, i feel as if Mama G literally cooked this in my home. Highly recommend.

A friend recommended this place and i drove 2hrs two ways in the bad rain to try the food today. Was not disappointed and will score you 80% cause of your restaurant.Pls add more colour and fun inside your restaurant by doing a tuneup of the inside, it can be better than what you currently have.

Just got off the phone with mama g and I had to say how amazing the egusi soup is I just wish I got more??will definitely order again.

The meet is very rubbery. I ordered at 3pm and the meat felt like it was made days before. Fufu and soup was the only good thing.

I was here when I visited NJ from TX after getting disappointed at Lagos Spot Nigerian Restaurant. The old lady I met gave me list of what was available and I opened for what I wanted. She requested for cash before service but I told her, I don’t carry cash around but have my card. She decline services on the basis that she doesn’t know how to operate the card machine. I keep wondering why Nigerian businesses are operated like this in a foreign. It sucks. Don’t waste your time going to this place. Also the ambience sucks and unkempt. The appearance of the server I met wasn’t appealing at all. My humble submission

Had a good first experience with Mama G. She was patient and ready to meet my order before I even got there. Fresh and good portion at friendly price.

My first time here and it very disappointing. The meat was entirely too dry, hard, and rubbery. The meat was something you couldn't even chew it. I won't be coming back here anymore. I went because of the good reviews but apparently someone is not telling the truth. ???????

The Jollof rice tasted so good. Guys, this is your plug for tastefully home cook Nigerian food and it's very affordable

Just there would have tasted better
