I went there today. The place was empty and quiet, no music or anything. The lady was kind, who took my order. The man who was preparing my food and got into a coughing fit. I understood, however, he never EVER washed his hands and was coughing while he was handling my food. Also, they microwaved my food and I don't know where it came from since no food was on display. The more I thought about it, the more I became disgusted. I took my food to my car, opened it and it looked horrible and dry. I took it back inside, left it on the counter and quietly left. The lady ran out to ask why and I gave the detail. She begged me to come for a refund and even offered to prepare another serving for me herself, but at this point, my stomach was turned. I asked her to keep the money. I wasn't nasty or rude and neither was the lady, but in this covid era, you CANNOT think that its ok to cough over ppl food and not clean your hands . You also should be serving fresh food. That's just gross. Never again.
Before visiting this place I called to make sure my friends and I could dine in. The man told us to come, our initial reaction was the man was not friendly at all, he seemed very annoyed taking our orders. He served our food with a attitude. Then a lady worker came in and instantly looked annoyed when she seen kids in the restaurant, she waited 5 minutes to tell me and my friends that we could not dine in. We asked for our bills and waited for uber because we were there visiting from Michigan. While waiting for our uber the lady basically kicks us out, so we walked by the door and we could hear the lady gossiping with other customers saying "they ordered all this food and didn't eat it" Very unprofessional. The food was rushed prepared and not good, the man did not wash his hands. I dont recommend anyone spending their money at this place.
The food is delicious! I would 10/10 recommend and definitely will be coming back here. But make sure if you don’t like spicy to ask them to tone it down!!
I visited NJ from TX. Went to the restaurant with information showing online as opened but when I got there, it was closed. I want to think they are out of business. Had to take Uber elsewhere. Look elsewhere and don’t waste your time and resources guys
This is one of the worst Nigerian restaurants I’ve been to. The place is extremely dirty. The woman at the counter is rude. I ordered full fish with a small tray of rice, instead I was given 2 slices of fish inside stew and charged $60. I called the owner, all he could say is you got what you ordered. I’m never ever ever returning again to this dirty restaurant. By the way I trashed $60 worth of food.
If I could write this review without giving a star at all I would have. First of all the place is very dirty, the customer service Is very poor and their prices are ridiculously high. I regretted ever going there to order food for my family and will never again.
Sorry to say I was not impressed with the egusi soup. the smell, texture and flavor was off. I had to throw it away.
I went to this place a couple years ago with my ex husband and the food was delicious and they also have a nice portion. Yesterday I went there along and I saw other customers (Africans) plates full to the top. When I opened my food I had an extremely small portion of food for all that money and I feel robbed. I know if I were African I would’ve gotten way more food than that. Not to mention the guy wrapping my food up was being really awkward like he had done something wrong and he couldn’t hide it. I feel played and I will never support them again. P.S the place is extremely dirty.
Wonderful food the African cuisine is delicious
Ordered efo riro with assorted meat and pounded yam and they did not disappoint!! Great price and nice portions! Everything was so delicious and delectable, also there wasn’t so much spice that it wasn’t enjoyable, full flavor instead of excessive pepper, left happily with a full belly, definitely order from here!!
