Ate here today for the first time 8/2/2022. This place did not disappoint! As soon as I walked in and saw the food.....I was in heaven! As soon as I got home and put a fork full in my mouth, I knew this was going to be my spot! Getting good latin cuisine , like soul food is a hit or miss. This place definitely hit! In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Terminator...."Ill be back!"
I was in the mood for some Spanish food and tried this spot. When I arrived I found parking on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted. The service was great. I ordered several meals and for myself I got the salmon with the rice and beans. When I ate the food was soo good. The salmon was seasoned to perfection and the rice and beans were soo good. I really enjoyed the food and service.
Absolutely in love with this place. I already had high hopes of the food but the list the of foods available today (Tuesday) was a big variety and I was very pleased with the flavors and how everything was well cooked. There were enough staff members to attend to everybody’s needs, and the energy just felt peaceful,homelike and friendly.They had colorful artwork displayed and they’re even for sale. There was A/C.They have a couple stairs to get into the restaurant going down but other than that it’s one floor unless you want to go outside and onto the balcony they have upstairs with umbrellas.Overall great experience, atmosphere, food and I’ll be definitely going back there for more.
The best Cuban food for 30 miles! Everything is always hot, the coffee is always ready, and the staff are great fun. Whether you're getting a platter, a Cuban sandwich, or a couple of empanadas for the road, you'll never be disappointed!
This is a great take out spot! They have delicious coffee, and the rice and beans are very tasty. I got arroz con gandules, white rice, beans, fried plantains, and a cafe con leche. I'll definitely be back for more. The owners are very nice and happy to explain the different dishes.
Excellent food, great atmosphere, friendly staff, and super affordable. The owner even stopped by afterward to ask how everything went. Be sure to try the salsa that goes with the empanadas. Delicious!
I wanted to write an honest review of this restaurant. So, I work 10 minutes away and wanted to try something different, and I went online and found this place. I always read the reviews and they were all excellent. Three of my colleagues and myself walked here and got food to go. There were so many options and they give you a lot for your money. When we all got back to the office, we couldn't finish the food. It was so salty. The empanada, pork, rice, salmon. The only thing I could eat were the maduros. I was so upset because all of the reviews said this place was good so I couldn't understand why we all thought the food was salty. I didn't go back for a few weeks until I was in the mood for maduros. I decided to try again and ordered the chicken stew, rice, and maduros. It was very good! I don't know if it was just an off day, but I went back for a third time and it was very good as well. I'm unsure if the chefs do a little taste test before serving since they make the same food everyday and are used to the recipe, but maybe you can taste it just before serving to make sure it's not too salty. I like supporting local business and I will be back.
One of the best restaurants, staff, and food you will have in all of the city. Order a cortado, empanada, salmon, o pernil platter and you’ll be in love. Thank you for everything.
I loved this place! I ordered the salmon, which came with 2 sides. I chose yellow rice and broccoli. Very fresh and delicious. The staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful, too.
I love Cuban food but I’m disappointed with my first time experience here. I ordered salmon with black beans and maduros. The maduros were delicious however I did not ask for rice lol. You guys should have called and asked me what else I wanted if you ran out of black beans. What if I was allergic or something , anyway the rice taste gummy/mushy the texture was not right at all. And the salmon I’m thinking must of been over cooked and could have been seasoned much better. I ate what I could but sadly had to throw the rest out and I was raised to eat my plate clean since others are less fortunate but please do better because that wasn’t right . Bless up.
