This place was legit. Food, music, and decor. Chef came out to talk to us and felt like I was with family. Had the pernil with Mofongo; wife had the pork pinchos with trifongo and kids had shrimp pinchos. Everything was cooked perfect , Arroz con gandules tasted like home cooking and trifongo and mofongo were moist and flavorful. Will definitely return with the familia!!!

I have never had anything like their kebabs. A miraculous feat of getting meat to be tender, succulent, and crispy without frying--amazing. The location itself is nice, with area to relax but still experience a lively vibe. The staff were very helpful with recommendations.

Food is amazing. Presentation is even better. Friendly environment. Staff makes you feel at home.

As a latina, I feel I have high expectations of Hispanic food and boy this place did not disappoint! From the warm introduction and wonderful customer service to the great quality of the food, it was all a wonderful experience. To top it off, the owner gave us samples of some delicious coquito as another kind gesture. We can’t wait to return!

Konoz has amazing authentic Puerto Rican food. The pernil is some of the best I’ve had. The chicken, delicious! They have an assortment of Empanadas that are wonderful. Less traditional, but way delicious are the Philly Cheesesteak and Buffalo Chicken empanadas. Those are over the top. I took some home for the Super Bowl this weekend and there was only one complaint, that i didn’t bring enough. Don’t sleep on this spot because they are great at what they do.

I have ordered from here 4 times now and each time I get a different experience. First off, I want to say that the customer service I received on my first order was really lovely. As was the food. The ensalada de pulpo (pictured below) was so delicious and the octopus was cooked properly. The accapurria and papa rellena were perfection.Everything from my 1st order was sublime. My 2nd order was just meh. The papa's and accapurria were greasy and tasted heavily of oil. The flavor profile was off. The peril was just okay. I decided to try again and ordered once more and the food was much better than time #2 but still not as good as the 1st time.My last order and it most likely will be my last, was not good at all. The papa's were not fried fully and falling apart in the container. The chicken shishkebab was horrible. They taste terrible and I feel like a flim flam was in progress with how they were packaged. The shishkebab and rice were put into a cone so it looked like the shishkebab was full, when it wasn't. Tiny pieces of chicken that didn't cover the whole stick. I ordered the pernil dinner and didn't receive my platano Maduro. The pernil also tastes off putting. I also ordered chicharron and that was dry and had a weird taste as well.I was very excited to find a new Puerto Rican restaurant in Newark as they are in short supply but I guess I'll have to stop being lazy and go back to making all of these things for myself.

great quality, portions, prices, and service. the pernil was delicious
