Dear management, if you are going to stop giving good customer service at 7:30 than please change your closing time to 7:30 instead of 8pm. I started callin there at 7:20 ,staff bluntly ignores phone, get there at 7:40 and there’s an attitude in service and half items aren’t available. I understand closing time means closing time but if you want to wrap up earlier than change it to 7 bc it is unfair to paying guests to get subpar service just bc staff doesn’t want to work anymore. Upon being in the store i saw a manager ask the cashier to pick up phone and they said no. That was really disappointing. Food is good but the service toward closing time is sad.
2nd time ordering from here. First time was excellent experience, food was fresh and tasted great. Ordered online this time including 3 orders of cream of chicken soup. When pickup person arrived at the restaurant, was told that only chicken noodle and split pea soup were available. First, how do you advertise 7 different soups on your menu and only have 2 available? Second, my phone number was included in the online order... would it have been that hard to call and say that part of my order wasn't available? Also found out that the order of eggs wasn't available (how are you out of eggs on a Sunday morning?)... was never refunded for the eggs that weren't included in my order.Customer service issues seem to be a recurring theme here... ?
Food is pretty good. They sometimes have hiccups but if you say something they will do their best to fix it. I’ve been coming here for years. Especially for the Eid Breakfast special. But this review is for during Ramadan. They were speedy and the food was good and fresh. There were some mistakes but our waiter was wonderful and tried to fix our order right away. Overall good service, food, and prices.

Great food. Courteous staff. Dine in available, table and chairs, and even counter seating too. You feel the love when you enter. You'll see the establishment has a very comfortable vibe. There's no parking lot but free street parking is available.
Love this place. All the food is great, my fave entree is the smothered turkey chops but I've never been dissatisfied with a meal here. The breakfast is delicious too. Staff is always friendly and prices are totally reasonable. One of my fave soul food restaurants in Jersey.
I hadn't been there in a couple of years. I was very disappointed. My salmon cakes were served to me on a white foam plate. I know its challenging trying to operate during a pandemic but at least use nicer & more classier & plates & utensils. I have better stuff in my house. My salmon cakes were very burned! Almost inedible. My toast came smathered with butter & jelly - instead of the little containers of butter & jelly common in most restaurants. My hashbrowns weren't completely cooked. I barely ate anything. I hadn't been there in a couple years & won't be going back for a few more years!
I have never been to this place the woman who help me on the phone was amazing. I need a meal for 3 for myself and a pick man and boy in my life and yeah they enjoyed their food so thank you miss I appreciate your recommendation.
