Got food out to us in about 12 minutes. I ordered the Singapore street noodles and they were very filling and flavorful. Great food.
I wish I can give a negative star. Don’t ever come here again. This place should go out of business. Raw egg in the udon wouldn’t even cook cause the broth is Luke warm. I asked the crunchy bits to be removed and it’s in my soup and soggy as hell
Anna and Lou were on the night my flight was delayed 6 hours. They went above and beyond to make sure I ate and had a delicious drink. Amazing food and incredible service. Thank you Lou and Anna for making my extended stay so comfortable!!!
This is what it looks like after waiting 45min. Notice the lack of food. Or even water…I’m only staying because I’m curious to actually experience a contender for worst in food service at EWR.So it’s honestly bad on both ends, ramen and sushi’s historically aren’t dishes that take 45min…and it generally doesn’t take 45min to get water. So that’s a well earned L for bother service and the kitchen.
The ramen soup was salty and the noodles were overcooked. By far, the service was even worse. "Excuse me..." or "may I.." comments by customers were ignored completely. Our particular server, working on 06.18 afternoon, seemed to avoid any eye contact with any of the restaurant patrons and was seen filling up and leisurely sipping on his own beverage while he avoided customers' second or third requests for their ordered beverages or water! He quickly whisked bowls of plastic wrap covered ramen from the kitchen (wherever that was) to plop in front of customers with as little interaction as possible and just as quickly, remove himself from the area. If you work in the service industry, one would think that you need to provide a little service.
I read reviews for several of the restaurants in EWR and settled on this one. We had a good amount of time between flights and I hoped we would be have adequate time. Turns out we had to walk quite a way to the restaurant then ordering proved to be challenging. We finally got it figured out by going to their web page; couldn't get the QR to work. There wasn't staff around to help. Once we ordered a staff person came with plasticware. We got two bowls of ramen and soft drinks. I asked that the counter be cleaned because it hadn't been since the last customers. I asked for a clean place mat. We sat at the food counter. There weren't any tables nearby that I noticed. I think you can take the food away and sit at community table throughout the terminal. Our food arrived in a relatively short time. It was fine. Could have been warmer and both ramen dishes were so similar that we weren't sure we got the correct order. There were condiments to add and I used them liberally.
Skip this place if you can. The stories on here are true.My partner and I ordered two bowls of ramen. After 25 minutes someone ran up and dropped off one cling wrap covered bowl before running off immediately. We waited another 20 minutes for our second bowl but never got it. The button to summon help did not seem to work. When my partner finally tracked down help, the person apologised and said this has been happening and promised a refund, but based on what I see on here I doubt we will get it. My partner said the ramen was adequate, but missing the egg. $20 a bowl for adequate ramen and no service is ludicrous.Update: They did refund our meal after my partner contacted them again online
Solid for what it is - an airport ramen bar in Newark. Started with the Rainbow Roll, which was more room temperature than I expected it to be, but it was well proportioned with fresh ingredients. Moved onto the Pork Shoyu Ramen, which was fine. Noodles were overcooked and mushy, the other ingredients were well executed and the broth was standard, not a lot of depth.Service was timely, friendly and professional. They didn't have the exact wine I ordered on the tablet, but the waiter made up for it.
I seek out this place every time I pass through Newark. I get the Pork Shio Ramen and it’s 18.40 a bowl. Fast service and great quality.
Our server Louis was awesome and beyond helpful. Although they didn't have the wine we wanted, they worked with us. The food was solid. When we are next in EWR, we'll be stopping by to see if Louis is working. Not a bad place for a layover.
