Our last flight of day and stopped in for a sandwich. The staff was very rude and seemed to be like don't bother usattitude. This was a first time for this restaurant and will never go back again!! Sandwich was overpriced and hardly any chicken in the Buffalo wrap plus it was overpriced.

Not sure I can opine on the food yet because I have been sitting here forr 30 minutes (at the request of an employee who explained if I wanted to eat at a table I should sit down and wait for the server to come by).Since then, all attemps at contacting the server(s) have been unsuccesful. It reminds me of East Germany, where servers could not get fired... THey walk by studiously avoinding eye contact or my raised hands..fascinating how slowly they move, with up to 10 people stanidng in line and of course waiting for their plane to board. In the end, I got up and went to one of the cashiers, who was very nice, apologized and took my order immediatly. That earned a second start.

Watch your credit cardThis has happened a while ago but I was reviewind my itinerary when my wife and I travelled through Europe in 2012 and this brought to mind a bad memory. When we arrived back in the USA at Newark International Airport we had some time between flights and ordered from the Earl of Sandwich. The name was very catchy after the one who invented something so wonderful and we thought it would be nice. The food was OK but not at all special. But, upon getting home and checking my credit card statements on line, to reconcile against receipts, I found that our credit card had been compromised. For that particular card, the card had only been out if my wallet for that particular tranasction and I thought it unual that the clerk was running the card behind the calendar where I could not see the cardWhen I found the credit card usage that did not make sense I remembered that event. While I was reimbursed by the credit card this is only paid for, in the long run, by all card users. I would never go there again.

Ordered a wrap to go. Was told I couldn’t have it on a tortilla wrap. Only bread was available for take out even though several sandwiches were visibly going out on wraps and I have been given a wrap to go before from this restaurant. When I queried why I could not have it on a wrap, I was told you have to order it from a server and that is how they make their money. Follow that logic. I said sure no problem, I will tip them and order from them if necessary . She said you can’t. All this after telling them I was gluten intolerant. Got a nice loafy piece of bread. Ridiculous

The wrap was mediocre a d I asked for the check 4 ti.es. still waiting. I'm about ready to walk out. Plus I asked for a vodka soda and the waiter tried to push me into ordering a double. I used to wait tables. People want to leave when they need to. My plane is boarding soon. I've been waiting for Mt check since 615. It is 652. I've asked 3 times.

Just stopped in to grab a quick sandwich at the airport. Should have checked the reviews first... Ordered a chipotle chicken. Obviously just buffalo sauce and there's supposed to be cheese and avocado. There was none. Just some shotty chicken and a stray piece of lettuce lol. Don't go...

Healthy airport food. $23 for a veggie sandwich, chips, and a small bottle of cheap wine. They gave me extra free chocolate on Valentine’s Day. 5 minute wait to get my sandwich. 4 stars for not having more vegetarian options.

This review is as much about Earl of Sandwich as it is about this part of the United terminal. It feels like terminal A got the last makeover in 1975. Joe Biden thinks LaGuarda is a third world airport, have him come visit terminal A at Newark! The ‘restaurant’, ONLY sit down food option fits right in with the overall terminal theme. Half the menu isn’t available (anything with salad, shocker) and the sandwiches are a step down from White Castle, at sit down airport restaurant prices. Only reason not one star: the staff. I don’t know why other reviews are so hard on the staff, they really try but are overworked in a rough environment with a bunch of impatient travelers. Thank you for being the one highlight in this restaurant and this terminal!

This business is essentially a parasite. The owners probably hate themselves, and the workers are in an empty trance like state, all lacking any human empathy or compassion, while also making garbage food. The perfect storm for an awful airport experience

Service was terribly slow, waited 30 minutes for them to bring out half our order - they "forgot" our second sandwich. Dining in was a joke, they pack you like sardines when there is additional seating around the shop. I'm convinced this place is still in business solely because it's the only restaurant in the terminal you're stuck at.
