Negative starsTook over 50 minutes for 3 MINIATURE burgers. I had to leave or I would miss my flight but no one that ordered before me got their food in under 40 minutes. They charged the people in front of me for fries and they didn’t get them. Absolutely terrible service and unclear signs. Everyone was extremely slow and only 6/25 people waiting for their food in the 40 minute window received their order. If I could give them negative stars I would do so. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.
Touch pad ordering and receipt but no way to know you had to pay at a different location (also self serve) prior to getting food. The servers all disappeared into the back area and 20 people were left standing for over 15 minutes or more. Only reason it gets any stars is bc food WAS good (cheesesteaks). "Computer" ordering is ridiculous and not use r friendly.
People yell at you all the time. Menu says all these sides like fries but after you order and pay they tell you they don’t have fries?
FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!! 5/12/2022 @ 1700. Ordered a Chicago style hot dog...... it was not a Chicago style hot dog that I got. The description on the tablet i ordered from said it came with mustard, chopped onions, relish, a pickle spear, tomato and served on a poppy seed bun. I ordered mine without tomato and got a hot dog in a regular bun with some relish and giant onions. That's it. When I went to go tell the workers that my order was not what was listed on the screen they basically told me that is how the do it here and it doesn't come as advertised. No pickle. No mustard. No poppy seed bun. The dog itself seemed good quality but totally did not get what was ordered or advertised. Will never order from here again.
The WORST SERVICE ever, the employees are grumpy and rude. You can’t even ask where the ketchup is without being yelled at. I went to the Newark restaurant on May 2, 2022, 2 PM.
Decent burger. Fries were yummy. The two guys cooking were very friendly and my food was ready right after I returned from paying. Prices are high, but it is the airport. I’d eat here again.
After paying for my meal and money being obviously drawn from my bank account, the employees claimed that I hadn't paid. The amount drawn was different, than what a burger costs, which was confusing. I guess there was an error in their system.Anyways, it was me who had to pay again for one of the worst burgers of my life.The employees were rude, the manager even worse. She even refused to give me a written proof I tried to contact her (which my bank asked for, so that they can refund it).Feels like a scam to me.
This place is trash. Avoid.Took 45 minutes for one burger. Burger was cold and *full* of gristle. A $14 burger.We could see employees just hanging out in the kitchen, sitting and laughing while we waited for our food.
The worst service. So confusing, how to order, how to pay. No one explaining anything and basically ignoring you as best they can. Got the food, that was average at best, just in time to get on my flight. Would really try to avoid this place if in the Newark airport.

SCAMMED AND HUMILIATED.This review is based solely on my own experience and personal opinion.I stopped by the Custom Burgers restaurant on Sunday night, 1/16/22, while waiting for my flight back to Houston, TX.LOCATION: TERMINAL CI think that my pictures are truly self-explanatory, but just for the sake of reviewing this place and their super shady business practices I'll go ahead and write a review.I was waiting for my flight to Houston and, just like many others, I was just coming from a connection flight, and I was super hungry.this SHADY restaurant PRAYS on hungry travelers who do genuinely ignore the SUPER SHADY practices done at this CUSTOM BURGER restaurant.I walked up to the glass display and one of the rude and scammy cooks told me to place an order on the small standing laptop in front of me.All the cooks are extremely rude, passive-aggressive and you can hear them using inappropriate language.I placed my order and the system never asked me if I wanted french fries or not, so I genuinely thought they were included (afterall you pay $15).They make me wait 20 minutes and after 20 minutes an african-american girl yells my number and gives me a box.... as soon as she hands over the box I realize that I had been badly scammed!!!SUPER SMALL sandwish, MESSED UP burger, litterally slapped on the bun... UNBELIEVABLE!!! and NO french fries.I go back to the counter and ask the same girl "where are the french fries?"... she goes "Sir, you did not order them"I reply "the system never asked me if I wanted to add french fries"...in a SUPER RUDE way she takes me back to the tablet where I had just placed my order and she shows me how to add the french fries to a Burger.At that point I show her the path I had followed to place my order and I show her that the system does not ask if you wanna add french fries or not....With a SUPER NASTY attitude she goes "Sir, if you do not like the service you are free to move on to the next restaurant"...I could not believe what I had just heard.CONCLUSIONS: $20 for what you see in my photos... SCAMMED, MISTREATED and HUMILIATED!
