I've dined here four times over the last six months. For me two things are important in a dining experience - great food and great service. I received both each time I dined here. The waiters are very attentive and the soup which accompanies every meal is always surprisingly good. I also enjoy their sangrias. They also offer free parking ( please tip the attendant though) just a couple doors away.
The best if the best food, service and pleasant place to go for a tasty food. Maria the owner, nicely and friendly always go around to check that everything is fine. Want to have a real good delicious dinner? go to Casa Vasca.
Pretty good for any gathering. If it's casual they have a bar in the front. If it's formal the restaurant is right through the door. The owner is super nice too, she is very attentive to all guests.

Service at Casa Vasca was both friendly and impeccable. Similar to some of the other Ironbound restaurants we have sampled, service is old world European. Dinner entrees were served with the soup of day which was a very good Chickpea and vegetable. We ordered the salmon stuffed with crabmeat, bronzino and grilled lamb chops. Everything was very good and a fairly large portion. The lamb chops were very reasonable at $22.00. We finished it off with a very good cappuccino and two desserts. We did not order drinks but the restaurant has a full bar. We had a very pleasant dinner at Casa Vasca and we would definitely go back
Always a great classic cuisine, and familiar ambience. Really, a place to come every time you are in Newark.
I found the place in Google and surprisingly is awesome. Menu is big, food is delicious, service excellent. Hidden gem in Newark.
Rice had no taste in the paella. Clams were excellent and appetizers excellent
While the service was great, the food was mediocre at best. I started my course with some stuffed mushrooms which were dry and burnt. Then, I ordered the sirloin steak medium rare and was highly disappointed. The steak was hard and flavorless. The fries it was accompanied with were soggy and unseasoned. The best thing were the veggies. I would recommend you to go somewhere else if you want quality food.
Had our dinner party here. To start the soup was delicious. We had several apps served family style. Clams, chorizo, shrimp all very good. My chicken in garlic was tasty. The prices are reasonable. Added bonus is parking in their lot.
