If there was a way to give a million stars as a rating, I would do it!! Yes, the food is amazing but the owners and staff are phenomenal. Each experience at Brick City has been wonderful. They are a jewel in the city of Newark and I encourage everyone to check them out!
This establishment is the best, the blond behind the counter was so polite, the food was delicious and the place was clean. I am an African- American. I felt vey comfortable and welcome there - Definitely recommend ??
The owner of Rene is such a beautiful hostess, the staff is outrageously kind and swift to serve your food. And the food itself has a very unique taste of its own… I would tell anyone to come and dine in at the Brick City Market.
The check out clerk was very very rude and nasty. She very rudely stated that the restaurant wasn’t “A Spanish speaking restaurant” embarrassing me in-front of plenty of people because she didn’t know what I meant when I asked for a side of “pico de gallo” to go with my MEXICAN quesadilla. (Ironic right?) The initial placing of the order happened over the phone. She ended up giving the phone to a guy and he figured out what I was saying, but when I got to the restaurant to pick up, she made sure to be extremely rude to me as I just explained. I questioned her tone and instead of going with a nicer tone she went on to raising her voice saying that “she didn’t speak Spanish.” If I could give this place 0 stars I would.

Order the grilled chicken salad. So good! You can build your own salad. Put anything on it if you like. It's very busy around 12pm lunch time. But they get the job done.

Great place to eat. I eat here for lunch about 2 or 3 times a week. The place is very clean. The food is fresh and good. The staff is always greet you with positive attitude.
Everyone I’ve met in this place so far is extremely nice the food smells amazing-very clean-beautiful decorations very patient and understanding and the food taste as good it looks must try again
Went into Brick City Market in Newark, NJ a few days ago to order a small salad mix. The man that made the salad charged me $3 for 2 measly teaspoons (if that much) of chicken chunks for the salad ?... 3 DOLLARS? The nerve of him!!!The salad was OK at best. It came to around $10. I really can't say it was worth it. ?
