Great food. Wasn’t sure if they’d have anything for me to eat since I don’t eat meat. But was accommodated. I’ve been addicted to their Joloff Rice, Spinach with plantains. The rice and spinach come topped with this sauce that really sets it off. Highly recommend trying Asanka. Btw their ginger juice will knock a cold right out or help prevent one from coming on. It’s strong!
First time eating and da food is DELICIOUS!! Personally I love there egg rolls. Also they make fresh healthy drinks. I had one made, beets & carrots. NO ADDED NOTHING! To die for! More than anythingThe service was superb. Made me feel comfortable and welcomed And that gos a very long way. ????
I drove an hour just to taste egusi and fufu for the first time and I must say it was an amazing experience! The owner is so nice and respectful, he makes you feel right at home. The food is amazing and delicate the flavors are just absolutely amazing. I took my leftovers home to my son and he loved it! So here we are back again to enjoy the amazing food and atmosphere I highly recommend
I have given 5 star because their food is really good and tastes just like home made. My favorite so far is the spring rolls and Jollof rice.What I would advice and I think is the reason why our African restaurants are loosing market is not keeping the same recipe. In my opinion the food should never taste different. I have been buying jollof rice since this place opened and I must say it’s always up to standard but this time my rice was under cooked and really hard, too much stew. In my opinion that sauce can be on the side as not everyone knows the jollof comes with stew and not everyone likes stew on their jollof. Just my opinion but aside that everything is on point. The customer service was amazing but the food wasn’t good. The fish was dry and tasted days old. The shito tasted like burnt tomatoes. And the okra soup was nasty. I was disappointed because they had good reviews
One of the best restaurant in Newark area you could always count on them and you can order online they are the best for now around this area I believe they got a good taste and you can order whatever you want from them and they will get it down the way you want it thank you.
