The Suya was really nice. It was well prepared, and the spices hit the right notes!
Tastes pepper suya
Great portions
First time I was here the meat in the soup was bad when I say bad I mean it tasted spoilt and I was disappointed because of the hype this place got from ppl around me. My friend then said try their suya next time I said ok I tried it n it tasted good but too spicy I placed an order and asked the order taker to put the spice by the side instead of sprinkling it on top she instantly cut me short and said YOU ARE GONNA HAVE TO BUY SPICE FOR 1 DOLLAR AS WE CANT PUT IT BY THE SIDE I asked her what difference it will make if I want it by the side and she said we don't do that. DEAR SURULERE SUYA SPOT NOT EVERYONE WANTS THEIR SPICE SPRINKLED ONTOP OF THEIR SUYA PLS TAKE NOTE. she is one of the most disrespectful order takers I have come across. With SURULERE suya spot all the ladies are same when it comes to bad attitude and time wasting they give you 30 minutes over the phone you get there in 45 minutes they say it is not ready there are people before you! The owner needs to get it together these girls will kill the business at the snap of a finger.
Don’t go there, their suya might taste good but their customer service sucks, if you have time to waste then you can go there. I ordered beef suya, they told me it will be a 45 mins wait over the phone, I gave them an extra 40 mins. I got there, to my greatest surprise, the fat lady at the counter told me that I will be upset just like the customer that just left, so I ask her why, and she said “there is no suya”. At this point i was expecting an apology, but she walked away and was talking to her colleagues at the cooking area about the an angry customer that questioned them about taking orders but can’t render the services. You make people drive there just to tell them no suya??? Typical Nigerian business IQ. Never again will I go here, I could careless about how good the suya taste. I’m not doing this to spoil the business but they need to improve their services and employe skilled cashiers. Don’t go here if you can’t wait. Unapologetic set of workers
We have tried many suya places in different parts of the US and Canada but this was the best suya, jollof rice and plantains we’ve had at a restaurant! We went to the Scarborough location which is a small shop with a wall up counter to order and a few seats to eat at. Parking could be a little tough but it’s worth it to find parking! We tried the combos with beef, chicken and goat and they were all awesome. The plantains were so good-crisp on the outside soft and flavorful on the inside. The portions were really good so we had lunch the next day and it also reheated good. Our only regret was not being able to make it back again during our trip to Toronto!
The suya was authentic with the right flavor. The goat was ok. The fried yam can be better and the plantain was soggy. Overall an ok experience.
Nice place and good food, a bit slow service but maybe because it was super busy that night. Very friendly staff and obviously well liked because of the communication between servers and customers.
While on a short Christmas break with my husband, his classmates from way back when decided to have a get together and picked this spot.. We were excited to be going to a place that had SUYA in the States and we went with a couple of friends. It took a lonnnnnnnnnnggggg while for our orders to get to us; which was upsetting since we were very hungry from the long drive but it was worth the wait.. It was the real deal.. Great Suya and Asun.. All in all it was a great night and we would definitely revisit
