Our favorite place from our visit to New Brunswick! The burgers are top notch and the fries are an interesting combination of a fry and a chip that we loved. If you get the nachos, be prepared to really eat, they are massive.We sat inside near a bookshelf packed with old books, which I think is awesome. Thank you!
Went here for a work dinner while in the area. Huge menu with a wide variety of options. Food was pretty good. Nice drink selection.

My co-worker and I enjoyed a nice outdoor dining experience for lunch. The dining experience was beautiful! In terms of our food, I ordered the Vegan California Burger w/o lettuce and tomato but I didn't need those two ingredients, the burger, the bun and Vegan cheese INSIDE of the burger was absolutely delicious! The fries were hot and crisp the way I like them. I'm actually not a vegan but wanted to try something healthy and unique, I was not disappointed. Finally, our server was very pleasant and professional but not intrusive. Great job!????
I enjoyed my time here. Sat at the bar and watched the game. I enjoyed the food. Service was great and quick. I’ll definitely be back to try some more of the menu options.
Fun and friendly environment. Great service by Dimitri who took great care of us, a large, demanding group of 18. The place was full, but we didn't felt unattended. The food was good and even the bathroom was clean. A pleasant visit in all.
We went to Old Man Rafferty's for a post-graduation celebration. There are a lot of choices on the menu. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best either. They serve big portions. The restaurant wasn't very clean (especially the restroom), service was slow and unfriendly, lighting was very poor. They sat five of us at a very small table. We had to put glasses on the windowsill just to have enough room on the table for the food. It's okay for a quick bite, but I wouldn't pick it for a special occasion. Overall, I was disappointed.
Wonderful experience. New Brunswick is a trendy college town with loads of ships restaurants in the heart of Rutgers University . Lots of parking garages. Old Man Rafferty is an Irish Pub that offers the usual comfort food. But they also make great steaks , seafood and yes Greek salads and even gyros my fav. My party and I had a magnificent time. There was even a wedding performed behind our table!!!! Great food cozy warm ambiance. Moderately priced $$$A definite ? ?
You're going to pay here a little bit more than some other places but the difference is in the quality of the food. The burgers are made with the best beef you can find and the cooking on it is exceptional. Then leave me when I'm telling you it is worth it to pay the difference.
My first visit to New Brunswick, I picked this restaurant for brunch from the Great reviews. I was happy from the moment I walked in. Great atmosphere and welcoming staff. The menu had so many great dishes to choose from- I wanted to try every thing. Every thing we did order was great. Left with food to go. Hey portions of Great flavor. I recommend.
