What a pleasure the staff is! I had a big order for the school I teach at, and needed it for the time the store opens. Have no fear, because they have the best manager ever! Hussam personally made sure I would receive the order. I created a spreadsheet and emailed the order, he replied with questions, and we got the order all taken care of! His co manager, Jay Charter knew all about my order when I called for a follow up and the evening before a very nice young lady assured me the order was all good for the morning. The food came right on time and didn't disappoint. Everyone in the building said how delicious it was! We thought they forgot an order the nice lady said she would look into and called me within minutes to let me know exactly where that additional, last minute order was. Overall, amazing experience!
Much like the other reviewers, I too feel that the online ordering kiosks are a HASSLE and the falafels are somewhat pricier than years past … BUT considering the renovations, increased cost of ingredients, and the fact that we’re coming out of a pandemic— $6 for a falafel sandwich is pretty decent. My sandwiches were somewhat skimpy in terms of the ingredient, but the service was good. The girl at the counter, her name was Jada, was accommodating, pleasant and really made an effort to help us. My friend and I confused the classic sandwiches for the falafel sandwich and Jada took out the time to clarify and even assisted us to modify our order. Overall, not my favorite location but the service is excellent (much better than the Hoboken site).
Didn't provide hot sauce with a 21 item order. Did not give the requested tahini. Relative went the next day and they forgot tahini and hot sauce completely. manager just wanted to say sorry. Said sauces are complimentary so they can't do anything.
I don't know what this place is like when busy, but I was lucky to be the only customer at the time of my visit. The decor of the place inside and outside is awesome. The menu looked great but I only tried falafel sandwich, babaghanoush salad with pita. kunafa, and the lemon mint. Food is excellent! Very close to the traditional at home. I will definitely go back for more items from the menu. I highly recommend this place ?
Extremely disappointed. My family, friends and I have been going to Mamoun’s for years. We have always been huge fans. Visited the New Brunswick location yesterday and paid approx $30 for 4 sandwiches. Each sandwich was 80% lettuce. That’s a lot of money for lettuce in a pita. The staff here needs better training on how to make a shawarma sandwich. After the first 2-3 bites, you should not be eating a lettuce sandwich the rest of the way.
Wanted to try Mamoun's because I heard and read great reviews! Nice shop, friendly enough staff and the Garlic dipping sauce - delicious! But, let me sum up my review in two words:Intestinal Distress!
Houssab is the sweetest person ever. He had such a good demeanor about himself and excellent customer service. I recommend this place to anyone that wants a taste of some real Mediterranean dishes. And the staff is just SO kind. This is exactly why I moved back to New Brunswick. Thank you Houssab!!!!! You’re the nicest ever! I love my hot sauce! ?? And I will always order from you!
Good food good place
I had Mamoun’s multiple times before and they had never disappointed until now when I ordered online.The Shawarma Lamb plate and the hummus were not tasty and had a weird bitter taste to them, very disappointed to say the least.The grape leaves were soggy and not appetizing.Maybe it was a day off for them but disappointing experience
Food sucked! Didn’t taste authentic! Lentil soup tasted like chicken broth and watery . Shawarma sandwich was OK. Kanafe was dry and stale . The only thing I enjoyed was the pickles,turnips, olives sadly.. and the kids that were working there we’re just goofing around the entire time and cursing! Very unprofessional and making faces at the food which made me feel uncomfortable to order in the first place!
