A great place to drink and a decent place to eat. The staff were nice, and our waiter was fast. I ordered a Moscow Mule and it was good. The atmosphere was perfect and it was lively when we went.My only complaint was the food; it wasn't bad, but not great either. I ordered the boar ragu with potato gnocchi. The gnocchi was great, but the rest was meh.

Decided to try this restaurant for Lunch since usually it is so crowded and it is difficult to find a parking spot on South street. First the decor is quaint and if you look toward the bar which is separate from the restaurant you see a welcome sign and the staff seating us are very friendly. I decided on a Tavern burger because the ingredients were different. Ground short rib and brisket with applewood smoke bacon. My partner picked the Avocado and Grapefruit Salad red grapefruit segments, avocado, baby arugula feta cheese and a citrus vinaigrette dressing and asked for a grilled Salmon on top which was an additional price and they gladly made it. The burger is large and beautifully served with a side of french fries and the salad with salmon moist and perfectly grilled on top was beautiful. We were not disappointed with our selection and both were delicious. We will definitely be back to try some of the other dishes on the menu.

I went here at approximately 3pm on a weekday for late lunch and a couple drinks. The bar was less than 25% occupied. I sat at the far end of the bar and waited for the bartender to come over. 10 minutes went by without her approaching me. I figured maybe it was my seat choice, so I moved to a spot close to the bar well. The bartender was speaking to a couple 2 seats to my left while making their drinks. When done, she walked passed me and started a conversation with people a few seats to my right. Meanwhile I was sitting there. The bartender still hadn't asked me if I wanted a drink or acknowledge me in any way. It was like I was invisible. It became a game for me to see how long I would wait without any acknowledgement at all. After another 5 minutes I left. The next day I sent them an email through their Facebook page explaining what happened. Nobody ever responded. They offer horrible service and don't seem to care. It's crazy.

What a great place. We had a bunch of apps. The waffle burger, burata, cauliflower, and Mexican flatbread. So delish. Their drink menu was very impressive as well. Atmosphere and service was excellent. One little miss. The dessert was terrible. We had a chocolate cake with raspberry filling. No idea what that filling was made of and I am a professional pastry chef. But would highly recommend. They also had a beautiful rooftop.

Great fun make sense. burgers and drinks. Only problem is that if you have reservations you cannot seat outside. It is only for walk ins. Does not makecsense.

I usually don't write bad reviews but 3 of us stopped here for lunch and 3 of us were very disappointed. My husband ordered a reuben sandwich and it had a very thin slice of meat on it and a slab of fat. When he commented to the waitress, she said "oh, it's the reuben." That was it. My daughter and I both got the fried chicken sandwich. It was not fried chicken breast which we expected but dark meat.Neither of us ate it. I will own that one. We should've asked. My advice, don't order a reuben from this restaurant unless you want a fat sandwich.

This was one of the best and most unique meals we've had in recent memory. From the service to the first-class food, our dinners were of the utmost caliber. Our waitress, Ellen, had a great style, smile and professionalism in a addition to being very pleasant and engaging. And the presentation of the food was first class (see photos). On to the food... We ordered four unique entrees. The first was the Grilled NY Strip with an Ancho rub, aji verde, cotija cheese, micro cilantro, paprika oil and papas criollas (Creole potatoes). It was fantastic! We also had an order of the Pan Roasted Salmon with a butternut squash puree, cauliflower rice, dried cranberries, toasted walnuts and a cranberry gastrique. We tried the Crispy DUck BReast, that I understand was excellent, and the last entree was the Buttermilk Fried Chicken with crispy brussel sprouts, sweet potato puree and a hot honey addition. Again, another really delicious dish. We topped off the meal with dessert, including the blood orange sorbet, the black sesame creme brulee and the chocolate malt homemade ice cream with crispy pearls. The Stirling Tavern gets 5 stars across the board and is one restaurant we truly look forward to going back to.

I had the Tavern Burger and was good, nothing really extraordinary, but good. I liked the fries. The noddles with mushrooms were also very good, as well as the fried pickles. The ambience and decorations is great, the restaurant and the bar are separated, which is good because you can feel different environment in each one. Service was good and friendly. Fair prices.

I booked to have a surprise party for my daughter at the Sterling Tavern, we used the large room they have upstairs. The restaurant is beautiful and clean.I just wanted to express how tentative the staff is. We did a brunch and picked from their brunch menu, the food was delicious and we also ordered drinks from the bar. The drinks are amazing especially their freshly made Bloody Mary. I was very pleased with our service I highly recommend the Sterling Tavern.Thank you again to all the great staff !!

Nice place for lunch. Friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere. Food was good and well priced. Slightly better than what one would expect from a local American bar and grille. An improvement on the beer tap list would get me to 5 stars.
