The decaf I got was old, so the nice guy made me a decaf Americano. But this also tasted off; weak and sour. This colored my sense of the place negatively. Dunkin always has fresh decaf. I don't see why coffee shops should ever let it turn. (that's part of why some people prefer Dunkin and sbux to small businesses: consistency). The vibe in the place was sterile, almost corporate. The music seemed to be one album by the same band, The Killers, I think, so I kept hearing this annoying crooning voice in every song for 25 straight minutes. It was hot in there while it was 95 degrees outside (so I feel bad for the workers). And then I heard the nice guy talking to a customer about another nearby coffee shop and how their coffee was not that good. And I was like, what? You just served me two undrinkable drinks. Coffee shop experiences can be hit or miss so take this all with a grain of salt. But I'll be steering clear of SmartWorld (which I tried just for a change) and sticking to the other shop. It's nearby, you can't miss it; it's very "local." Thanks
I’m obsessed with the coffee here. The coffee is strong and bold, the staff is friendly and pleasant. The prices are very, very reasonable. The food items including the baked ones are all fresh and delicious. 10/10 recommend!!!
I’m really happy to have SmartWorld Coffee in Morristown. After completing 2 loyalty punch cards (24 drinks), I can confidently say that I am consistently pleased with my brewed coffee and espresso beverages. The customer service is also great with friendly and attentive baristas that deliver well-made drinks. If you haven’t tried their coffee, skip your usual Starbucks run and support local. My personal favorites are their Iced Caramel Latte (Torani syrup is delicious) and Ristretto & Mudd. My husband enjoys their espresso smoothies, if he’s looking for something other than brewed coffee.
Cute local coffee shop, but sometimes closes earlier than posted hours.
Visited for the first time yesterday. The coffee was great,The Tuna salad sandwich was really balanced and good. The only thing was my pickle leaked and destroyed the paper bag my sandwich was in.Please drain the pickles or work around the folding of the foil so it doesn't leak, maybe if put flat at the bottom of the bag.
Love this place for the simplicity, friendliness, and consistency. They have healthy options for food, grab-and-go, and baked goods. The long and narrow space brings a different kind of comfort for sitting down and enjoying your food/drink with a book, to do work, socialize with a friend, or ponder life. I love and so appreciate that they (continue to) carry Soy Milk, as that is the only milk alternative that I can digest due to restrictions. And I love the chai tea's here (also a lot less sugar than other places). I might be paying $5 (ish) for a chai tea, but I am also paying for consistency and happiness with every sip, which hasn't happened at competing coffee shops.
Cozy, friendly, and yummy. Go to place for coffee in Morristown!
Excellent coffee and great service
I really enjoy the drinks here - much better than Starbucks. I get a soy chai latte, and it's always made right. It's smooth, "creamy," and delicious. I appreciate the constant consistency with my drink here! I also know that the soy milk and chai mix used has a lot less sugar than SB. It's a little less expensive as well -- but it helps that I'm always getting something delicious here.
What I have experienced from David Walters I would not wish it on anyone!!! This person caused 8 months in Morris County Correctional Facility on a contempt of court charge. He backs up Annette Marasco on Judge Weisenbacks order of me not be allowed to talk to court personel. While he hurts a lighting business. Ever since I reported domestic violence on December 2006 let alone ever since Blanche Lopez Harty retaliated in 2007 I have came across UNETHICAL - IMMORAL - CORRUPT PEOPLE let alone HURTFUL PEOPLE in Morristown. Big difference from being a successful business owner to being forced to deal with people like David Walters. This person needs to pay for what he has done.
