It seems that after months and months of responding to the overwhelming negative reviews that whoever the owner or manager is hasn't done a darn thing to rectify the situation. The salad here could have been made better had my pet dog picked out the ingredients at random. And at least he is more friendly and will greet you unlike the staff (which I had to yell to get their attention). The apple waldy salad had maybe 4 small pieces of dried apple and was filled up with the cheap ingredient lettuce. It had no taste and was not worth the price. The Salad House is no competition for any other salad spot and by the looks of it, might soon shut down if they don't get it together.
I’ve ordered here numerous times and I’ve just received my 2 veggie soup orders that were extremely salty to the point of being inedible. Uber Eats wouldn’t refund me and when I called all the receptionist said was “I’ll speak with them on why it’s so salty”. No refund offered or replacement. Really enjoyed the food here before this experience.
Went there today, parking is a little crazy on Saturday.......Had the chicken Ceasars salad today, great portion but 2 dressing cups are needed for the salads in my opinion. I will definitely be back and bringing friends and family.
So, I'm just gonna start out by saying the food is phenomenal, but the location just sucks. But the fact that I still give this place 5 stars is a testament to the product. Very hearty dishes, packed with flavor, that are worth every penny (more like dime). Explore the menu; there're tasty sandwiches & soups in addition to salads. Now, on to the only (major) problem with this spot: parking. There is none depending on the time of day (par for the course in Montclair), leaving you to park in the municipal lot, park blocks away, or park illegally. And be wary of Montclair Parking Enforcement, as they are extremely vigilant in that part of town. Either have it delivered, or go with a friend.

So tonight I had the displeasure of being serviced by Denisse E. She wasn’t very pleasant during our interaction. She cut me off several times while I attempted to place my order and seemed to have more of an attitude when she handed me my food. Additionally, when I asked for a second dressing for my salad, she sighed and attempted to charge me. I explained that the single small container of dressing they give isnt sufficient for me. She rolled her eyes and preceded to tell me that I should pay an additional .50 for extra dressing so I returned the salad. When I asked for a refund, she attempted to give me a blank receipt with no refund information. ***Let’s normalize leaving behind purchases where the quality of service doesn’t meet our expectations.
I recently ordered a salad from this establishment on Tuesday November 23rd 2021 like I always do. I’ve ordered from this place over 15 times.. But this time was tragically different because soon after eating my salad I got food poisoning. I ordered Romaine, Arugula and Red Onions amongst other things within & I am praying that you guys are paying attention to the recalls of most products and are also throwing away old lettuce because it can cause people to get very sick! Luckily for me I didn’t end up hospitalized but it did leave me sick for 2 days where I couldn’t even work. I hope that management looks into this. Thank you. I also tried calling before posting this…but no answer unfortunately
Great service and even better salad. It has now become tradition to stop here whenever I’m in the area. Thank you for making it such a great experience.
Second time in a row my partner and I have ordered. I get the create your own salad and he tries a different wrap. Delicious and great prices.
