Who owns this place? They must be rich as heck and have a great sense of humor to foist this practical joke off on the public. My family has fun betting on how long orders will take and what errors will be made. It’s great fun to see what new surprises they have in store every visit. They had a good manager for about a month, but clearly the public demanded it return to the laughingstock it has become famous for. Let the hilarity ensue!
*Worst Popeyes ever*Waited 30 min just to place the order and 20 min more for 2 PC takeout.Food was yukk and oily eventually had to throw.What to waste of 10 bucksSlow server, 3 people looks like no one actually wants to work...Don't go here and save your money
Worst Popeyes ever! Horrible manger , horrible wait time after standing for 8 minutes I had to ask for somebody to take my order when it was only me and another customer who was waiting to receive his order. There was no cashier there. Not going to even go into how it looks inside long story short this is shocking to see a Popeyes like this especially in the Montclair area next to train station needs to either shutdown or hire a complete new staff and manger .this was 3/31/2022
Worst popeyes I have been to in a long time. I didn't mind the unprofessionalism but it only became an issue when my order came out completely wrong and the chicken tasted harder than rocks. Please if you value your money go elsewhere
I was in town for a business meeting and afterwards I wanted to grab a quick lunch and I saw Popeye's on Google Maps. When I got to the parking lot I couldn't tell if the place was open or not. I opened the door and it still wasn't totally obvious because you have to walk through the dining room down a hall to get to the counter to order. The layout is very strange here. However, once I got past that oddity, the food was exactly what I was looking for, super tasty Popeye's chicken!
This place served me the best spicy chicken sandwich I’ve ever. That is compared to every major chain restaurant including Chick-fil-A.Crispy. Flavorful. Perfect temp.Also, staff was friendly and quick! Give them a shot. #11 all the way
The service at this location has always been under par, but today was definitely my worst experience. I'm bringing food to a party where I know the breast and wings will go to waste. I asked for legs and thighs only said I don't mind waiting if it will take longer. It looks like this was either too challenging for the guy taking my order or he just didn't feel like going through the trouble of putting in my order like I asked. He's going and talking about the combo has to be mixed, they don't do that there, he'll have to put it in a separate order, etc etc etc. I drove 2 mins down the road to the Bloomfield Ave location in bloomfield where it took them 10 mins to get it all together and I ended up getting a much better deal than expected at recommendation of their register guy.
Just spent the last hour standing and waiting for my order to be done!! I walked in and placed an order with no one on line but it still took me an hr to get my food. I even had to watch other customers come in place their order, get their food and leave. I don’t want to hear about short staffed either cause I counted 5 employees, absolutely pathetic how they work in this Popeyes!!!
Absolute trash of an establishment. Popoyes should cancel this franchise immediately. All of us fell sick after eating sandwiches from there. Very dingy and filthy. I wish I had seen the reviews before punishing ourselves. The spicy Mayo that they put in the spicy chicken sandwich is especially nasty. I have had lot of Popeyes before but never filth like this. Someone report this place to the health department and close this down. Additionally the sassy attitude of the African American staff leaves a bad taste much before the sandwich does.
Staff provided wonderful experience, extremely helpful and polite! Food made fresh and served promptly.
