Such a fun place for dinner. Eclectic atmosphere, consistent food and wonderful service. This was my second time here.
absolutely amazing place! if you want to try authentic Ethiopian cuisine. it was very DELICIOUS ! Great staff , great service.must try Ethiopian coffee here . ?
Amazing place... amazing food! For your first time, order the sampler so you can get acquainted to their flavors. Next time your visit ('cause you will) order an app and an entree and you won't regret it!
This is definitely one of the most exotic restaurants I've ever been to and it tastes great. It would appear at first that the meal isn't that big and that you will still be hungry but the bread you use to eat the food is extremely and probably intentionally filling. They also have a great selection of teas, and they use real tea leaves, not store brand bags.I will say though that they should have a lunch menu with specials to make it a bit more affordable to go during off peak weekday hours.
Food is amazing, and service is excellent! Bethlehem, Eden and Swaroop very helpful and patient.I'm so glad they were able to reopen after the flooding and the pandemic. We had the Sampler Platter for 2. 2 Starters, 2 Beef, 1 Lamb, 2 Chicken, 1 Seafood & 4 Veggies. Siga Sambussa, Azifa, Tibs Wat, Minchet Kay, Lega Tibs, Doro Aletcha, Doro Tibs, Shrimp Tibs, Shiro, Dinich Wat, Collard Greens, Ingudia TibsIt was chilly, so we each had a ginger tea.I didn't get to try the Kitfo, so we came back with a vegetarian friend. We started with Misir Sambussa & Siga Sambussa. They are like samosas but with different spices, so good!Berze is honey water. There is something familiar with the taste or is similar to a Chinese drink; just can't put my finger on it... Maybe it will come to me, or if someone else has a thought, please DM me, lolKitfo is beef that is typically served raw, but I had it slightly sautéed. Amazing! I think I will be ordering this every time from now on. lol. With Ingudia Tibs and Atkilt Aletcha.Hubby had the Tilapia Tib with Dinich Wat and Azifa.Vegetarian friend got the veggie sampler Platter, which has 6 veggies.Highly recommend Mesob if you want to expand and explore different cultures and cuisines.
AMAZING!!! I'm so glad to have found Mesob! Absolutely delicious Ethiopian food with so so many vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. You can even get the injera made gluten free if you ask them in advance, which I did and it was so good! What an experience. I ordered the vegetarian sampler (you choose 6 veggie dishes) and got the collards, mushrooms, yellow lentils, chickpea biscuits, buticha (ground chickpeas), cabbage/potatoes. The mushrooms were incredible and the collards my second favorite but it was all so good. I can't wait to go back! Highly highly recommend. Thank you for the kind and attentive service, too!
The food was exactly what I expected. It's like what I had at another Ethiopian restaurant. The food was good, but it was more expensive than I expected.
We visited this restaurant after few years, service was great, and staff was very knowledgeable of the food items and its ingredient. We had Swaroop as our host and even though he is not Ethiopian, he suggested excellent vegetarian dishes for us to try out, and we were quite satisfied. They had some minimum requirements for sampler for number of people. We may have missed, but we got some different item to offset the extra charges
Always excellent food, service and atmosphere! Can’t wait til next time!
Definitely recommend reservations, especially on weekend nights. The food came out quickly, was tasty, authentic, and fresh. Price was about 30-40 per person for the meat sampler including tip. BYOB, can get wine next door.
