Kreme & Krumbs has become my family's favorite ice cream and for good reason: every flavor is amazing. I'm a big fan of her cheesecake flavors (guava is insanely good) and my chocolate lovers go crazy for Dumb Chocolate. We have been rocking with them for 3+ years now and I'm so glad to see their permanent spot in Montclair. Gotta take home a pint every time!
The ice cream is one of the best I ever tasted. The flavors are so creative and the ingredients in this ice cream was phenomenal. Would definitely recommend anyone to try this place out. Definitely new go to ice cream place.
First of all, let me just say that I was never a big ice cream fan before. But Kreme & Krumbs has shown me how good ice cream can be. Their ice cream is SO creamy and the handmade cones are delicious. Kiahna is truly an artist when it comes to creating flavors, and I can no longer keep track of my favorites because they’re all so good. The flavors are so creative, and I often don’t know what to expect when I try a new one but then am surprised to keep finding new favorites (like lemon kreme kake, Dorothy’s bday, chewy mocha, cafe con leche, banana foster just to name a few…) This ice cream is unique and very worth the cost, as everything is made from scratch and with a great amount of care, which comes through in every single flavor.
We had an amazing experience at Kreme & Krumbs. I ordered Dorothy’s B-Day and my sister had the Real Vanilla and Dorothy’s B-Day. Absolutely delicious and the attendants at the counter were very friendly. We will be coming back again!
Okay so here’s the deal:The ice cream? Fire. So good, so creamy, some amazing flavors. I wanted give 4 stars just for the quality of the ice cream but also want the business owners to hear their customers concerns.Cons:- I’ve been in person about 4 times now and haven’t really ever seen anyone that looks over 20. It’s a lot of young kids working each time - which is great - but I think they need some guidance. I went with a group of 4 and it took a long time for our ice cream to get scooped and for us to pay. Also, 3 people in my group pointed out that the ice cream wasn’t being scooped far enough into the cones - just 2 scoops balancing for their life on top of the cone. We all had to get cups added to our cones after my 2 scoops fell on the ground before we even paid.- Variety: flavors are constantly running out. They advertise ice cream sandwiches and pints but I’ve never seen either stocked.Additional note that’s not really a con but something to point out - I got a raw waffle cone that hadn’t fully cooled and crisped up so half of the ice cream went to waste when it flopped over.TL;DR - the ice cream flavors are good enough to keep me coming back but the store itself needs some time to improve.
My husband and I walked into their new location and we were excited to try their ice cream again. We supported local small business during the pandemic when they were at their pop ups, so I was happy to see they have their own spot now.The ice cream was just okay. We had the strawberry ice cream and while the flavor was nice, it left a milky film on the roof of our mouths. It was unpleasant to eat with that consistency.The price wasn’t worth it for the possibly over churned ice cream in a cup. The fresh waffle cones looked nice if that’s your thing.
One of the best ice cream I have had in my life. From the perfect temp, perfect sweetness, light, delicious flavor to the still warm hand rolled cone, this place is perfection. Kreme & Krumb has tasty ice cream with fun and inventive flavors. It's a straightforward operation that lets the ice cream standalone and speak for itself. Limited toppings and a small, curated selection of flavors mean its not quite your do everything ice cream shop, but it's never left me disappointed.
Omg, Do not sleep on this ice cream!!! My son actually discovered them first and brought some home. The bourbon pecan ice cream and the lemon ice cream are what we needed in our lives. Never had anything like it. Soooo delicious I made it a point to write a review. Definitely by far the best I’ve had. I would give them 5 PLUS stars if I could.
