I love Green Chop's!! Always treated with kindness in this store and can't get enough of the fantastic smoothies!! Simply the best.

The owner is the rudest person I have ever encountered. I rushed in with a 17 month year old baby trying to grab lunch before heading back to work and I left my mask. When I entered the store the owner started yelling don’t you see the sign on the door? I said I’m sorry I’m was rushing do you have one I can use? He said no go back to your car. I’ve worked in the Montclair area for over three years and I will be sure to never recommend this place to anyone. There is a right and wrong way to treat and talk to people!????

I'm all for the must wear a mask rule. No issue from me on having that rule. But in case someone doesnt have a mask have them to give out.As a result, I'm done. Used to go here twice a week and I forgot my mask once and got turned away after I was told they woudlnt provide one and asked me to go.

A gem! Everything is fresh and homemade, always vegan and veg options, you can customize everything. Love their juices, sandwiches, soups, and salads. Staff are friendly and have lots of regulars because they’re so great.Edited to add: Happy to wear a mask at any time for others safety during a pandemic. Appreciate business owners who care for others.

I agree with these reviews. I wore a mask when I went in there and he was still rude. He is old school and not customer friendly. He should stay in the back and let his workers run his business but you can tell he is the type that micromanages his workers and yells at them. I don’t know how you could work for him.High prices, terrible service, and an empty store; I don’t know how he stays open. He must do well on “to go” orders cause I will not return.

I agree with a user “blue soup”. No other place in that Watchung Avenue area in Monclair requires a mask… The minute I walked in, the man said rudely, “read the sign on door, wear a mask” even though the woman next to him smiled, did not have the mask over her nose, and seemed happy to serve me.Coincidentally, the pizza place, bagel place, sushi place , and two coffee places both had large crowds but this place was completely empty, (which is why I stopped in cause I’m on my lunch break and needed something quick).Maybe it’s not “coincidental” that the place is empty whenever I pass by. That’s just bad business and apparently people on here agree.

It was great ?.

Really rude owner, I walked into store. And without greeting me he said “Ay buddy, read the sign on door, you have to have your mask on.” Which I dont have a problem with going back to car to get mask but why would you not greet a client and speak to them with attitude and sarcasm. Arent we the ones who will keep your store up and running by coming back by enjoying good food, why wouldnt you be nice and greet people?

The staff is so sweet and the food is delicious, especially their homemade soups! They also have so many good vegan options!
