As someone who works in the Montclair area I am always looking for a tasteful cheap lunch. Falafel hut delivers not only a good quality meal with fresh ingredients but is also very fairly priced. To top it off it is family run and has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend
The Google reviews made me eager to try this restaurant. I walked into the restaurant, and I was immediately greeted by the cashier. I wasn't sure what to order so the cashier showed me the menu. I went for the falafel on pita because it was marked as a favorite on the menu. The falafel was made to order and the sandwich looked delicious when presented. The first bite was tangy sauce, crunchy cabbage, pickles with tomato that worked well together and was appetizing. The falafel had a slight crunch with a hint of spice but was missing some dimension. Overall, it was a satisfying lunch.

Falafel on pita, falafel platter(shown in picture and comes with two pita), chicken shawarma on pita & baba ganoush side were all very tasty and good quality! I got an extra side of hot & tzatziki sauces, both were nice especially the tzatziki is thick n fresh!
The food is amazing! They even make their own soda. My girlfriend and I got a Lamb Kebab on Pita and a House Salad with falafel and chicken shawarma.Every part of the meal was excellent. The service was also excellent!
Incredible beef shwarma, crunchy and flavorful falafel (not dry!) and really tasty homemade hummus. I would definitely go back. One major con is the pita which is just warmed up supermarket pita - just a step above from cardboard. Oh and the tahini is wow!
Some of the tastiest falafel sandwiches in the area. The fried were just regular but I love how the falafel sandwiches come packed with veggies and a perfect amount of sauce.
Driving from Maryland home to Nanute we wanted a good falafel we decided to stop by our old stomping ground in Monclair. Your food is Always delicious.
Great portions. Excellent baklava. Yummy food. I got the chicken shawarma and there was so much filling that I could make an entire new shawarma from the fillings that fell into my plate.
The people who take your order and make your food don't smile at you, but they make a reliably tasty falafel - the kind of food I look forward to all day long. Plus you can always get a seat inside or outside and watch people go by. It's also one of the few places you can get a high-quality affordable lunch!
