Came here to order takeout for the first time. **Cash only sign on the door** . Luckily I had cash. My husband ordered the whiting fish with hush puppies and peach cobbler. The portion of fish was great for the value. My husband really enjoyed the taste but there was still some skin left on the fish. The hush puppies and peach cobbler were delish. Overall can't complain. Quick service and great value!

This is the best fried fish you’ll get in the area, and this is coming from a native New Yorker. The fish is always fresh and made on demand, depending on the day or the cook you may have it flavored better or not. The sides are actually banging. My go to is the cat fish sandwich with a side of greens and yams. Steak fries are great. The Mac and cheese is not my cup of tea, but the potato salad is pretty damn good for a restaurant. The sweet potato pie is just okay, not a fan of the cut aluminum pan at the bottom of each slice. The man who runs the place is kind but I haven’t seen him in a while. Cash only spot so come ready! Also call your order in advance so you don’t have a long wait. Either way with this, I usually still have to wait. Good luck finding parking
Crockett's never misses! Fresh seafood fried golden crisp. Oil is always changed out. Sides are decent but the superstar is most definitely the seafood. My go to dishes are the catfish, whiting, shrimp and scallops. Always delicious.
Fried whiting was pretty good. Could be seasoned a bit more but good. Sides were ok as well. Yams...tasty, well made, tender. Greens..fresh, crispy but still tender. Mac and cheese.. agghh..hh..could use some seasoning.Love the black Jesus wall art!Ill visit again.
Food is delicious and service is the Best! You won't be disappointed. Food is always hot and fresh I've been going for year's. Treat yourself to a great gourmet. 5 stars....

Food is always good and prepared (seasoned) right. Never too salty or super sweet (yams).My only complaint is on a few occasions, some ordered items, like sides, were missing. Just check to make sure everything is there.On the one occasion that I didn't, when I called back to tell them, I got them on the next visit.
The place was nice and clean, and the staff were friendly. All the food they make is fresh, this is my spot to eat fish when I go to NJ. I highly recommend this place to get your meal. ?
Oh what a feeling! After one bite of the fried whiting. Been hard to find fresh whiting to cook so happy to find it fresh here to avoid the heck of bad frozen whiting. Don't forget the hot sauce & tartar sauce if ya really going in on flavor. Boom!
