Had reserved the place for a party and they made all guests and us feel special. The food was awesome. The service was excellent. On-demand requests were fulfilled without hesitation, even when we had set the menu. A definite 5* to the staff and food.
Started out bad and only got worst. Ordered two dishes to have lunch with my sister but when I got there only one dish was made, so they effectively ignored half my order. The person who I ordered from seemed more concerned about making sure I would pay the elevated price then listening to what I was saying. Then I get home and try my Pad Thai and find out that they used the wrong spices. It tastes nothing like Pad Thai and is more a curry dish. I will never bother to order from them again. Very disappointed. I could take poor service and try again, but I'll never spend money on poorly prepared food again.
Excellent food and amazing service. I wish I could give them 10 stars. The atmosphere was so welcoming, the staff was super nice and helpful, the Biryani we ordered was spot on, so delicious and flavorful, their food is always fresh and tasty, must try their chicken 65 full of flavors and their Thai food is also amazing. This is a must try restaurant. You will leave very satisfied and happy.
We ordered take out last month. My husband ordered an Indian veg entree and I got Pad Thai noodles. Both were so good! My dish was great and not that sick orange overdone tamarind sauce. Real red peppers were used, not some dried flakes and all the ingredients tasted fresh. It's such a basic dish that can be really fantastic, but so many places mess it up catering to sweet American palates. My husband's dish was great too. Making vegan meatballs a good texture and flavor is not easy. The sauce was amazing, we were just lapping that up with the naan bread. Will definitely be ordering from there again. I can't wait to try other things on the menu!
Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala (medium), Veg. Samosa and Kulcha. It was takeout. Unfortunately, I will probably never try Basil again. The food is just too bland to compete with the huge variety of options available in the area. The food completely lacked flavor, it almost came off as stale. The rice was overcooked, as well as the somosas. Chicken was cooked well, but the sauce lacked any kind of flavor (it tastes like it came from a can). It was very disappointing, as Indian food is my favorite. You simply can't charge Montclair prices and not match the quality of Brick Lane or Jalwa. Service was very fast. I can't comment on their Thai selection.
We just tried this new restaurant for the first time and it was great! Delicious food, beautiful dish presentation, and wonderful service. We had lunch and we ordered the chicken dumplings, naan, chicken satay, veggie korma, and paneer. We will definitely be back again!
my wife and I arrived tonight. Enrique was our waiter. We said to him, "we eat anything and love to be surprised. Please surprise us" Enrique delivered 3 courses that were delicious!
Went to Basil for dinner last week with a group of 10 friends. I must say, never felt so welcomed before! The food was exquisite! The samosas, biryani , chicken tandoori and roasted cauliflower. Every dish we ordered was made with care, love and a unique twist. Great atmosphere and service, as if you walked into a family restaurant. Will definitely be back soon to try more of their delicious cuisines
We left after an hour without getting any food. Very disappointing. Especially when it was coin flip between this place and the one uptown
Ordered dinner tonight. It was all very good. We had the veggie samosa, chicken wings, pad Thai and chicken korma. I wish they gave us more rice for the korma. Otherwise, it was all tasty and legit. Will go there again with friends.
