This was the best on-the-fly find I've had in a looong time! I was in the Montclair area, Googled "vegan food around me", and this place popped up. I'm soooo happy they were still open!I got the impossible burger with mushrooms with the vegan bun, a side of fries (I couldn't decide between sweet potatoes and regular fries, but hooray- they can make a mix!!), And the vegan flourless chocolate cake.We took our food to go (we showed up at 21:30, but they still took our orders) and sat on the street to dig in. I was literally doing a little jig in my seat from how tasty the burger was!!! Juicy, flavourful, all the tastes and textures came together so well! The mix of regular fries and sweet potato fries hit the spot, and they were perfectly crispy ?Finally, after I was already feeling so lucky that I found this place, I went in for the chocolate cake. Picture an oversized Reese's cup of super dense chocolatey goodness. Omg, it's served with a chocolate sauce to drizzle on top, and holy cow was it all delicious. Now, it is quite intense, but if you're looking for a serious chocolate experience - methinks you'll love this.We ate every last crumb ☺️Highly recommend going to check this place out. I'm already planning another trip to the area to try another one of their vegan specials ?
This little burger spot is spot on! They serve bison burgers that are delicious along with some tasty appetizers such as their wings. Place is a bit on the pricy side (have to purchase fries separate) but considering it’s right in the middle of downtown Montclair you can see why. Staff is super friendly and there’s plenty of space for people sit without feeling crowed.
I love Bareburger for a few reasons. It's one of the few places I can eat with friends and we can all have what we want. Regular options as well as vegan and gluten-free options. The other reasons that I love this place are: the food is great, the service is great, and they have vegan milk shakes that taste like real milk shakes.
Double check the online system before putting in your order. I clicked that I wanted a sprout bun and after driving 15 min to the Bareburger and another 15 back. I get home to find no bun. The staff putting the burger together should have reached out to double check as I had quite a few toppings and sauces. Instead they wrapped the burger in aluminum foil so when I unwrapped it there was sauce everywhere, cheese stuck to the foil. It was a mess. When we called they only offered to have us drive back to get a bun. Why would I spend another 30 min for just a bun? If I’m going to have to scrape my burger off the aluminum either way then I might as well save the time and gas money and forget the bun. The online system may have glitched but the staff should have called to confirm before wrapping a burger with sauce and toppings tightly in foil.

Bareburger has always been a nice treat when I'm in the area. I've visited almost a dozen times, brought friends who've also enjoyed and continued visiting on their own.The burgers are great, you can customize them as needed, switching for different meats and/or toppings. The charred brussel sprouts are everything! The fact they are BYOB makes it complete perfection. You can enjoy your favorite drinks without over paying for alcohol. The liquor store across the street helps if you forget to bring your favorite bottle.The service here has always been spectacular. From the hostess to the waitstaff. I cannot find anything negative or critique anything for improvement.The vibe and decor inside adds to the experience. It provides a calming and relaxing atmosphere, even when the place is pretty packed. I also enjoy the diversity of the clientele and staff.
Great laid back atmosphere with really good burgers. You can create your own or order their creations. The burgers were cooked to our specifications. The sweet potato fries were crispy and not greasy. They have gluten free buns as a bonus! Our server was attentive and personable. We enjoyed our evening here.

The food and drinks were amazing. I ordered the Guadalupe vegan burger with crispy Brussels sprouts. I ordered 2 ugly beauty's which were perfect. Our waiter, Jorge C, was very helpful, friendly, and carried a great attitude. I 100% recommend Bareburger in Montclair, NJ..
