Very disappointed in the menu change…no more crispy tacos! I have always gotten the same thing since the day they opened…Combo #1 with crispy taco shells. Now that it is no longer on the menu, sadly I have no reason to eat there any more. So very disappointed!! On a side note…the person taking the orders wasn’t even aware of the menu change…crispy was ordered and he never told us it wasn’t available. Ending up paying for and eating a meal I didn’t order or like!
Simple, reasonably priced, and delicious. Good salsa bar. The pineapple habanero salsa is fantastic.Easy parking as well, great place for lunch on the shore.
The food was good as always, but giving 2 stars for the cleanliness of this establishment. The garbage was overflowing to the floor and there seemed to be no urgency to clean it. Along with this, the salsa serving area was also very dirty. There were crumbled receipts, dirty napkins and straw wrappers inside and around the bowls. Other surf taco locations are much cleaner.
I was in the mood for tocos and came to this place to get them. To be honest the tacos were terrible they had no taste and the combination how were they made of was off. DONT ORDER TACOS.
Overall the food and service were good.
The only thing I order is the Surf Taco (fish taco). A few of the other items just did not have the freshest ingredients. On an upnote, I have noticed that many do come in for takeout & Doordash orders. There are so many other real and authentic "taco" places in Long Branch, just not where the West End 'Brighton Ave' tourist crowd goes.
The quality is just not there..... It's unfortunate... I keep trying to give more opportunities to order burritos for takeout but they are so poorly made each time, I think I've finally learned my lesson. I ordered the Costa Rican burrito which you can see in the "photos" section. It's technically a cold and sloppy lettuce burrito. The cheese wasn't even melted, the rice is wet and lettuce is brown. Don't recommend this one, or any to go.
One of my favorite places. I love the tortilla chips and different salsas plus good selections.
Excellent choice of salsas. Chicken was dry. Decent service. Tip request is shoved in your face before they have provided any service.
Rice & beans had no taste , i had chicken tacos the shell was the best part clean place just bland food .
