What a delight! Found this place online and it did not disappoint. My friend and I split 2 sandwiches. One was the Carolina Gold, and it was very good and worth the fact that it was messy with all the juicy goodness. But the real home run was the Smoked Brisket sandwich. Best I have had since I used to go to Austin on business. I also got to sample the Burnt Ends and they were a real treat. Prices are a tad over normal because everything is kosher and that makes it cost higher. But so worth it all around. Do not miss this place!!
It's hard to find good kosher BBQ but Southside Smokehouse figured it out! The food is super tasty and real impeccable smoke flavor. I generally go for either A Smoked Brisket Sandwich or BBQ Burnt Ends. If I'm not in the mood for smoked meats, I get A Hot Pastrami Sandwich on Rye or the Dagwood which Is pretty epic all my favorite things in one sandwich you have in there schnitzel pastrami kishka and onion rings like c'mon. My favorite sides are the Wings or the Texas Fries. Also the vibes here are great real diner style.

We loved the atmosphere everything was a bit pricey, but would definitely get the pastrami again! It was juicy and fatty just like it supposed to be with that thick crunchy crust. The brisket was good, but a little dry, wouldn't get it again for the price. The coleslaw was delicious and paired perfectly with the pastrami. Definitely will be back if we pass through again.
Update:I've been to SS Smokehouse numerous times since my initial review and they are consistently amazing. On top of the amazing food there is exceptional customer service and the owner Yitzy brings such good energy to the establishment. Super great chill. Keep it up.Amazing selection of food and put of this world smoked variety. Must order everything on the menu.
Prob the worst place I ever visited ! I ordered a Caesar salad and a brisket sandwich... 50.00 total for the 2 items. My wife was going to kill me when she seen the actual sandwich !! Wawa has a better brisket sandwich for 5 bucks ! THEY GOT ME GOOD ! LAKEWOOD AT ITS BEST !
Discussing Jewish deli dandy with a friend I commented that I was longing for brisket pastrami etc sandwiches like I had when I lived in New York. My friend recommended this place said it was awesome. I went and before ordering asked a couple of questions. Is all the food smoked. Answer - no; is it sliced thin - answer - yes, does the meat have fat on it because I like it fatty. Answer - yes. Great and I placed my order. More than $175.00 later I left went home and my family and I sat down to eat. (By the way service was very good). I can’t say the same for the food which was cut into large slabs and was very dry. Piled high - no way. I don’t mind spending money on good food but I certainly do mind spending money on food I consider not edible. And above all I don’t like being lied to. I will not be going back. The next time I want goes Jewish deli food I will be heading back to New York.
BRILLIANCE. This place is a rare gem!!I’m a major foodie, and a meatitarean. Having traveled the country and lots of the world, I’ve never come across a Kosher smokehouse of this quality. Their meats are exquisite, flavors exotic, service impeccable, and most of all, made and served with love. Owner’s got a heart of gold and a super generous spirit. You don’t come across that kind of perfection on the daily. Southside Smokehouse is LIT!!! Go!!!PS. I came back the next night and brought my extended family too. They loved it!!!
This place is literally awesome! Such great food! Generous portions!! And the best customer service! They are so pleasant and a breath of fresh air!
