Great salad and good service and a great band every other Wednesday called Guns for hire. Also other great bands on Thursdays and the weekend.
The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and everything was beautiful.

My wife and I went here to have dinner between 7pm, no later than 7:30pm. When we walked in everyone looked at us so awkwardly, as if we walked into a private event. We walked to the bar table, no employees, not even 1 greeted us. We immediately left. It was so uncomfortable. Never again.
We have been coming to this spot for many years and have always enjoyed it. The sushi and other food are very good. The staff is usually very attentive. I feel like the place is not as clean as is could be and everything is run down. The place seems to be on auto pilot . The Uptown is rarely open , there is nothing new . There aren’t any daily specials or drink specials. I understand that the pandemic was hard on business, but I don’t feel the management is doing anything to improve the experience.
So……. Good atmosphere outside, but the service is sub par. We were invited by the band that was playing tonight but were warned by said band that the service wasn’t that good. Went there with an open mind regardless. Walked to the outdoor area to a chalkboard sign that said “please wait to be seated” we stood there a few moments and got the attention of a young Lady about being seated, she took our name and stated that it would be 45+ minutes before we could be seated but that we could wait at the bar. So we went to the bar and took 15 minutes to get our first drink order. No big deal but we were there three hours and never got our table or our name called. A few of the ladies behind the bar were to worried about their phone then making sure that we were taken care of. I never write a review and I will not call these employees out by name. Just be aware that atmosphere is great but service is sub par at best.
Good food & friendly staff, but for some reason the inside is always closed and the last thing I want to do after being outside in the heat all day is to sit at a hot tiki bar.
