If you want Mexican tacos go to Monroe st in Passaic, also Kearny Ave has 2 Mexican restaurants a little more traditional than this franchise. The service is very good from the girl at the register but unfortunately Los Gueros style of tacos is not my cup of tea. It does fulfill your cravings as much as Taco Bell or Chipotle’s, nothing wrong with that, but it is not the taste we are use to on Mexican food.That’s an order $13 but definitely weighs about half a pound maybe. Taco Bell for $10 yesterday gave me a chalupa and a Mexican pizza plus strawberry lemonade, just do the maths.
Great food- but mismanaged. They’re holding my money captive right now for an order I placed three hours ago that they never made and I never received because the front girl said “she can’t give refunds”.I order a salad from here 5 days a week. Last week, I ordered my lunch salad and eggs for breakfast after 10:00 AM. I walked there to get them at 10:25 and the store was locked with lights off.I walked back at 1:00 PM with a printout of my receipt and they issued me a refund.Today, it happened again but the store was open. I placed my order at 10:06 and walked there to pick it up at 10:25. The girl at the front told me she needed 15 minutes because she hadn’t started it yet. Yup. I asked for a refund and she said I’d get an email confirmation of refund.Hours later- no refund so I walked there with the printout of my receipt and the same girl at the front said she was unable to issue me a refund because o only the manager who wasn’t there right now could issue refunds.Great food- but no management and employees don’t get there on time or begin making orders on time in the morning.Also- if they don’t make your food at all,they won’t give you a refund because Only a manager can do that and the managers apparently don’t work there on the premises!!
Placed an order for delivery took over an hour -and food was cold! Gave it another try and decided to pick up… food was cold as hell!! Called back to speak to a manager no luck.. there’s none!!! Don’t recommend at all.
Nachos are delicious when they get your order right- I asked for no onions and still got onions- not blaming the chef because the girl who took my order did not specify what I asked for on the receipt (I’m allergic to tomatoes & I mentioned it to her but she failed to tell me the Nachos come with it even though its not described in the menu. “Arriaga.K” according to my receipt - has gotten my order wrong my first 2x going here so I probably won’t be back but the churros are also good when she feels like heating them up.. read a previous review and its pretty obvious that she is the only thing messing up the service because the food is great! CHECK YOUR FOOD before walking out - tends to always be missing an item that you paid for.
The order was incomplete and super salty.Rather take the drive to Rutherford to the other Gueros.
Don’t ask for pork it has so much non cooked fat in it. You can see it in the photo below. The flutas taste like week old oil. Steak & chicken was good chorizo was very greasy. chips good Guac was good. First & last time.
First time in La Taqueria los Gueros and YOU have to go! It’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The Chicken Nachos IT WAS FIRE!! The service i received was so amazing and i will definitely be back again. They made me feel welcomed and gave me an amazing experience.
Food is 5 stars, I give 4 stars because when I placed an order over the phone the cashier hung up on me after I repeated my order 5 times. I called again and she said she couldn’t hear me. When I arrive to the restaurant she’s in the front and has her airpods in. Makes sense you can’t hear me with headphones. Everything is still delicious!
Chicken tacos and burrito were absolutely phenomenal!! So much flavor. So glad they opened this place up! Def recommend
Food is great and it deserves a 5, but unfortunately, ordered delivery twice, first time it took an hour… second time, it’s been 1 hour and 40 minutes and my food still hasn’t arrived…. So I don’t recommend ordering delivery at all… horrible delivery service! Sad, because the food was great…
