I’m literally always on the hunt for authentic Peruvian food because I grew up eating it at home. This place is it! I found my favorite Peruvian spot in the area! Here’s what I got:Leche de tigre: Delicious and FRESH. Fish was tender. Amazing flavor, not overly acidic but just enough.Jalea Mixta: Omg, these portions are huge!! Comes in an aluminum tray. This was my favorite. The batter they use is perfectly seasoned. You get so much fish, and all of it is amazing. I like my fried shrimp with the shell on, but if you don’t just know that’s how they do it. Muscles also stay in the shell. Comes with lots of canchita too!Chaufa de pollo: Again, huge portion, comes in an aluminum tray. I really liked this as well but wished that there was more egg, just a personal preference. Still very yummy.Chup chup de coco: Refreshing and delicious. Can’t really go wrong with creamy coconut iceONLY disappointment was that they didn’t have aji verde, not sure if they were sold outbut they gave me some aji amarillo and huancaina instead.Older gentleman behind the counter was very sweet. Prices are super fair. I’ll be coming back to try their lomo, tallarines verdes and alfajores. Support a local small business and check them out :)
The best Peruvian food I've had. It's an assuming place, nothing fancy, but the food is amazing.
I google a Peruvian ceviche in Newark I called couple places and ask how the ceviche was made with Tilapia fish and answer was no so I decided to give a try it was absolutely delicious really great ceviche on point. Did tried the chicken milanesas was shocked when it was served with real home made fries . This place have a real food and authentic fresh ingredients making this place a keeper must visit every time in Newark . Please ask for tamales …. From 1-10 I said 15 . Give it a try . Ceviche was excellent with beautiful sweet potato and the caldo de patasca was fantastic!
By far the best Shrimp and Fish Ceviche I have had in a very long time! Served with yams, toasted corn grains and banana chips! Delicious seafood platter as well! Excellent meal. Small restaurant nothing glamouros but with very caring cooks and staff. Opened up late for our group of 12.
The food was awesome. El ceviche de pescado delicious and the charlatan de Mariscos so good. I would like to recommend this place for a great food and service..
Tamales with the onions are TRES Delicious. The best in New Jersey! And the chef is so nice!!!!! ❤️❤️

The food was really good and freshly made. The portions are big. Definitely a great spot to go to if you’re looking for fresh quality no fuss Peruvian food.
