When the combo of 2 sliders and fries came out to almost $16, I thought I would have been better off getting the combo across the street for $8.50. But BOOOY was I wrong. It is well worth the $16, and I knew that on the very first bite. It is SOOOOO SOOOO GOOD. So much flavor! I got a medium heat and a hot one. I like spicy. But i think i will stick to the medium. The spice is real!
Wow. This place was so good and shockingly so. Because of its unassuming looks you’d never guess just how delicious their made to order fried chicken is. The food is fresh, the sliders are the perfect size and the prices were reasonable. Next time I’m in the area I gotta give them another try.
Fantastic halal hot chicken spot! We got the 'hot' heat setting and the two sliders.. My wife and I have tried most of the halal chicken spots in NJ and NY that are popular, and this was by far the BEST DEAL. Two sandwiches for the same price that most of the other places sell only one for! Heat level was perfect for us. The chicken was crunchy, cooked to perfection where it wasn't dried out but was perfect and moist on the inside, and the burger itself was amazing with the toppings and sauce. What stole the show was the loaded fries, however. It wasn't on the menu, but ask for it anyway, loaded fries were AMAZING! Coleslaw, spicy chicken, twinz sauce, on a bed of fries... And they didn't skimp on the fried chicken either. For taste, Twinz ranks right there at the top with namkeen and birdies.. For value, beats all the rest hands DOWN! All the halal hot chicken spots are amazing, but twinz wins for value AND taste! I hope they keep the prices low like this, but with the competition having much higher prices for similar taste, I doubt they will be able to. Honestly, go here! Amazing!
Hands down the best tasting chicken in the area! So juicy and tender. Met the owner as well and he was a very nice person! Highly recommend checking this place out.
Twinz hot chicken got the best chicken sandwiches on journal square by far. Is it just me but lately it feels like the sandwiches been getting smaller. The food is still amazing though But I want the sandwiches back to the size it was. Other than that the food is consistently good
Journal Square has its very own halal, Nashville style hot chicken spot. Each order is made fresh and takes about 10 mins so order ahead before heading to the restaurant for pickup. The menu is brief but executed perfectly producing hot chicken that is juicy and crispy every single time I have tried it.
This is a must try!!! First of all I love the baked Mac and Cheese. It’s really baked and tastes so good. The sliders are so good. I don’t like coleslaw generally but this one is amazing. Love the waffle fries and the sauce they give is sooo good! I get mild heat because the medium is actually pretty spicy!!! Friendly and nice customer service. This is gourmet fast food! (And it’s halal!!)
Best food on the block! I’ve only had medium spicy but even that is a nice spice level and the food is very flavorful. I’m from TN living in jersey and this is the closest it comes to Nashville hot chicken!
The chicken is great! I recommend sticking to the tenders because the sliders have too much bun-to-meat ratio.
The different levels of spice for chicken is good. The sauce is very delicious!
