I really wanted to love this place, but really couldn’t. Everything was just slightly off in execution. If I had to make a guess, the executive chef is really good, but the line chef prepping the meal that day really wasn’t. Like the balance of flavor profile was just slightly off and texture of everything was just a little off (eg fish over cooked). Will try again in hopes that the execution improved, but seems like such a shame to have a wonder menu get ruined through poor execution.

Ray made the experience spectacular for us. I came to Kitchen Step because I have previously dined there with a friend for brunch in one of the greenhouses & we had a delightful experience. I visited Kitchen Step again today with my mom to have a Mother's Day brunch, since I didn't get to see her on the actual holiday itself. Ray was so kind and exemplified the meaning of hospitality. He made the experience luxurious; we never heard the word 'no'. Our waiter was also attentive and kind. He was the tall gentleman with short black hair. The food was delicious! I had the eggs benedict and my mother had the scrambled eggs your way. We enjoyed tasty mimosas, Bloody Mary cocktails, as well as tea and coffee. I will be back!

This was my second time coming here for a weekend brunch. Although the portions are not large for an adult, the food's very good here. Ordered a Pancake ($17),a french toast ($15) and a zuchini fries ($13). A lemonade and two coffees. The total came out to be $68 w/ the tip for two adults and a child. The brunch cocktail looked great although it will set you back additional $10+ per. I would visit here again.

Good cocktails and vibes. Zucchini fritters are bomb.

Cute small place In jersey city with amazing Vegetarian options Available. I ordered eggs Benedict and a side of bacon. Their brunch cocktails are good and Bloody Mary was spicy. Must try zucchini fries. The service is excellent. Reservations are preferred but we walked in and were lucky to get a table asap.

Found this place via tik tok. Good to note that their menu is seasonal no less. Very unique drink flavors off of their spring drink menu. We were pleasantly surprised by the zucchini fries and would in fact recommend. The pork dish (pictured) was very tasty, however the macaroni and beef tartar were just okay. Service was excellent and outdoor greenhouse setup was quite cute.

I had this place on my list for a while and was eager to give it a try. When I arrived I was able to find parking on the street nearby. I walked into a small, cute restaurant. I was greeted at the door and was able to find a seat at the bar. Ray was my bartender and he was super nice. I started with a couple of mimosas and they were good. For my meal I got the fish tacos. When they came out it looked good. When I dug in they were just ok. It needed a little more seasoning. My 4 stars goes mainly to the service, ambiance and mimosas.

I’ll give 4 stars because the restaurant is beautiful, comfortable and great for photos. The food wasn’t that great if I’m being honest but the drinks were good and the customer service was amazing.

I've been to the Kitchen Step a few times and every single time has been a wonderful experience. It was actually the first place I ate out again after I was vaccinated and it will forever hold a place in my heart for the consideration they put into their set up at that time. They had individual outside dining set ups with doors, heat lamps, and chandeliers. That kind of attention to detail really made the experience so much better.Every employee I have met from the wait staff to the hosts to the managers have been so warm, kind, friendly, and helpful. They all elevate the meal because of how wonderful they are.The food and drinks are obviously outstanding. Two favorites of mine are the biscuits & gravy and the RD burger. They are both full of flavor and delicious. I have a hard time ordering anything else because I just want to order one of those every single time. The crispy zucchini fries are so good that they never last that long on the table because everyone eats them immediately. I've also had a few of their salads and toasts which were all fantastic. You can't go wrong with anything you order. They also have a stable of great drinks but also seasonal ones that are amazing. I had the ecto cooler around Halloween that was bright green with a stay puft marshmallow rim that was so tasty and people around me kept asking what it was and ordering their own.I highly recommend stopping by, you absolutely won't regret it!

Perfection, plates of food were works of art, food service and atmosphere were over the top
