My husband and I were so excited to find out they were opening a seafood broil spot in the area. They did not fail to disappoint! If you live in the JSQ/McGinley Sq. area you know how frustrating and annoying it is to find good takeout. There’s very little variety to choose from (pizza, fried chicken, chinese food and just plain old fast food) So this was such a great addition to the community. The place looks like a shabby Chinese food takeout place but don’t be fooled by the cover! My husband didn’t know about the infamous seafood broil bags before I told him about it and quickly convinced him to order us some. He loves seafood in general. And now he loves this place maybe even more than me lol! The customer service is always so warm and welcoming. They know us so well now that they’ll even do us the favor to bring us our food to our car when it’s ready or bring it to us right next door at the Dominican bodega as we wait for the our food to be ready without us ever even asking! I find that so sweet and professional like they know we’re always on the go and want our food to be nice and hot for us. We always get the crab legs with corn and potatoes with the special house sauce in mild and/or the shrimp fried rice. They’re not even that expensive. We love it here and hope you guys never leave!
The first time I ordered the food was amazing!! Today I placed my second order and the food was bad. I got the crab leg and shrimp bag with potatoes and corn. One of the crab wasn’t clean and two others had an odd taste. I was thinking about the food all day it was such a let down.
I got the 1lb tasting combo A. I enjoyed it thoroughly and it was definitely enough for one person. great price and delicious.
I'm from Philly I was in town for my daughter's track meet. I ordered 1/2 lb snow crab legs for her and 1 lb for me and 12 oysters. She didn't want the corn or potatoes that came with her combo so the guy at the counter said he would give me hers.I get all the way home an hour and a half later to find I don't have my daughter's crab legs and they never put my corn and potatoes in my bag!!! What a disappointment how hard is it to do your job, listen and take the order correctly! Next time we are in town I will NOT waste my time or money.
This was really DISAPPOINTING. The portions are small (you won't get full). I tried the shrimp po'boy and the fried oysters. They were both soggy and musky/gamey. Really, nothing tastes fresh and they charge like their food and location are amazing. Skip this place.
Probably the best shrimp boil you're going to get between the Jersey shore and Massachusetts. I ordered the Taster's Combo B (shrimp, sausage rings, green and black mussels, a half an ear of corn, and one potato). Quite filling for one. Everything was cooked perfectly; the corn was sweet and succulent, the potato was silky, the seafood was fresh and it was sauced to order. All for under $10 (I didn't order a drink). The place was immaculate (even if it was a bit underwhelming in décor) and did not smell of fish or heavy frying oils, and I walked in about an hour before closing (10PM).For a fast food take-out joint in a residential neighborhood on a major thorough fair, this is an unexpected surprise and a welcome addition to the standard pizza and 'chinese' take out joints.
Delicious seafood! I’ve ordered the snow crab, dungeness crab, & crawfish all yummy & seasoned beautifully. ? The catfish platter was also delicious! Highly recommend this place
The food is delicious fresh, cook to order. Customer service is excellent. 2nd time here. Will be back again
The food was so good and everyone in this place is so nice my first ti.e here and I will be back
I am from nearby and I am a big supporter of new businesses near me, so I would like to give my very honest opinion. If you are looking for your traditional messy, saucy cajun spot than this may be falling short; it definitely did not have the traditional amount of garlic in the sauce which I was expecting, and sauce volume in itself. However, if you are fan of seasoned/spiced seafood than this is your place. This place cooked the crab legs and potatoes/corn extremely well in comparison to other cajun spots I've tried before. Certified fresh and healthier in my opinion, due to lesser oil/sauce being used, and I will definitely be trying again. I would hope that they add a little more garlic to their original cajun sauce and include potatoes and corn together as a free side, but you cannot expect so much when you are being delivered fresh steamed crab legs. Give it a try, I am also interested in others opinions!
