Not bad for $50 omakase! It’s located in a small section inside of a ramen shop. They play pretty loud music and is a little dark in there. The pieces were a little small but tasty! There were 2 chefs doing the omakase for 8 people. If you never had omakase before, this place is a nice start :)

Great quality sushi at an affordable price. The 12 piece omakase $50, they also have a longer and high tier omakase for $100. Great space and friendly staff. All the pieces that we had were very fresh and well made. Worth trying if you want to have some good sushi without breaking the bank.

An awesome and delicious omakase !! Highly recommend. Cocktails were delicious as well, and the service is remarkable. Thank you for a fantastic and memorable experience!

The standard omakase is $50 for 12 pieces and you can upgrade to the $100 set. Overall the quality is decent although certain pieces were not really worth it like the ikura/eggs and eel since you can easily get these at any H-mart. The ebi/shrimp, scallop, and tuna are great. The music can be turned down a bit or play something that fits the Japanese theme of the place. The tea is just a standard tea bag and not with tea leaves.

Unbelievable Sushi the chef was amazing

Delicious omakase in an intimate setting. Great sake and whiskey flights too. Our chef, JP, was kind, knowledgeable and entertaining. For our reservation the host, who only communicates via text, was quick to respond and very accommodating. Upon arriving he was also incredibly nice! Great service, great food, top marks. Can’t wait to come back.

Tried their omakase but not planning to come again.I went on a weeknight and got their regular omakase. The chef was in rush on getting all 12 pcs out, the entire presentation was done within 30 mins (once all 4 people finished their 1st piece, the 2nd one came right after). All sushi pieces were added with strong sauces or seasonings on top (such as truffle oil), so you couldn't tell the flavour/freshness of the fish.I've been authentic sushi places for their omakase. Their chefs at the bar would normally talk to you and explain what/where the fish comes from or what makes it special, and they would also ask how the customer feel during the course. Not this place, music was loud, food was just so-so, chef had no interest to talk to you, even though their omakase is cheap at $ 50/100 and near home, I still won't come to eat again.

We had a great time for our first omakase experience. The staff at the Jersey City location were just as wonderful as the food. The host, bartender Anthony, and Chef Ryan made for an overall excellent experience. Ani Ramen was packed but the sushi bar is tucked away in the back of the restaurant for a completely different and more private setting. The host was very perky and welcoming. Sake recommendation by bartender Anthony was right on point for our palette (we ended up getting the bottle). All the sushi was fresh and melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Our favorites were the wagyuni “surf and turf” nigiri and the scallop with charcoal salt. Love the little twists on traditional nigiri. Important to note that you should plan to arrive early as parking can be a challenge. My husband and I had an 8pm reservation a Saturday night but were in the area looking for parking by 7:30p. We were a few minutes early but were welcomed by the host and bartender to have drinks in the lounge area before our seating. We can’t wait to go back!

Utterly great - the pacing was perfect (didn’t rush the presentation) and I was unexpectedly more full than I anticipated I’d be. On a Tuesday at 7 PM, I went with two others and there were only 3 others, so 6 people total in the location. I’m not someone who can eat their money’s worth at an all you can eat establishment for context. The people I went with could eat their fill at an AYCE and were about 60-80% full (enough to be satisfied but could eat more). The drink I got was STRONG (Yuzu Honey Bee) and halfway through I was starting to feel tipsy (medium weight), and was delicious. The pieces themselves were so good and they gave the option (and two hand wipes) to either use your hands or provided chopsticks. The chefs and staff were all very courteous, and they’re also running a promotion for a free cup of sake if you sign up for texts. It is located in the back of Ani Ramen - just mention it to the front desk. All in all, was great for the price and would return!!
