Over priced and selling molded bread and vegetables ! Pay highly attention on the grocery that you are buying.
Thought it was a decent, if overpriced little market, but I’m done shopping here. Stopped by for some brie and deli meat two days ago, but when I opened the brie it was moldy. Took it back today but they wouldn’t give me a refund without a receipt. Unfortunately I threw away the receipt, not thinking that I’ll need it for a couple of items. Not only didn’t we have cheese for lunch like we planned to, but I also threw $6.99 in the garbage. This was a very specific brie brand too, that I haven’t seen elsewhere, so they know it’s from their store. I don’t endorse thievery, so I won’t support this store.
With quality foods and a big business name you can expect nothing less then the BEST from this supermarket chain.
Love coming to Sprove Market Place late. It is so much nicer to shop when you don’t get the stress and the lines.
Nice upscale grocery store. Prepared foods, deli, and bakery are the specialties. There’s a seating area on the second floor and a solid selection of natural and staple groceries.
Super convenient with many western and eastern cooked foods, great selection of eastern snacks, many veggies and fruits, and staple household items. Staff is always hardworking and friendly. Cooked foods include: smoothies, juice, cake, coffee, deli sandwich, salad, korean dishes and soup, rice bowls, sushi. Although sometimes produce can be not fresh.
-Warning: Selling Spoiled Meat-We bought 2 packs of raw chicken from the refrigerated meat section at Sprove today. After getting home, my partner checked the "freeze by date" which was for 5/6 (today is 5/8), but we thought that this should still be fine to cook. However, upon opening the chicken, it was clear that both packages had already gone bad. There was a strong odor so we threw them out.We are curious how Sprove stores their meat, as something only 2 days past the "freeze by date" should not smell so bad. We are also unsure why Sprove does not dispose of meat once the dates printed on the label have passed. We had a similar experience a few years ago with some spoiled raw turkey from Sprove, but we thought that was a one off incident. This really damages our trust in this store as one would assume a place with higher prices would be holding a higher standard of the quality of their goods. We are so disappointed with our experience that we will not buy raw meat products from Sprove again.
Decent convenient store in the neighborhood. The space is not as organized as regular stores. It may take a few more steps to find the section of interest.
They mark their products as one price, then it rings up as a higher one at checkout. You have to pay attention to notice. What's worse, they won't honor the marked price, unlike every non-scammy store I've ever been to, but rather insist on you paying whatever it's rung up as! That's explicitly their policy; it happens so often they have a little sign on the register stating it. And they're overpriced to begin with. There are plenty of nice, small, non-scammy groceries in the area to go to instead.
Everything is great EXCEPT the produce. Some are fresh and some are not. Once I couldn’t find a tomato or apple that’s not partially rotten. I understand this is a convenience store but it feels disrespectful to the customers who shop for veggies and fruits.
